I thought he looked a decent played when he was at the club a few years back and I was upset that we let him go. I dont think that he would be the right signing after being at Fulham and Chicago Fire. He knows where the goal is and was a good talent but I'm unsure if his time at those two clubs could have drued up his skill.

Stats:

Milwaukke Rampage: 18/17

Wolfsburg: 18/2

Columbus Crew: 161/62

Preston: 9/1

Everton: 8/4

Fulham: 153/40

Chicago Fire: 11/5

Having said all that he would be a better signing than David Nugent.

On the assumption that Moyes doesn't plan on selling Yakubu, Saha, Vaughan or Anichebe at any time in the future then is he really wanting an expencive long term big name?

Maybe McBride ticks his boxes!......give him decent service and he will get a few goals.

Is that good enough for a team looking at european football again next season?

Not if there is any truth in this story, he will come cheap but at 30 years old do we really need him....................

JIMMY BULLARD has sensationally offered to take a 20 per cent pay cut to stay at Craven Cottage.

Fulham star Bullard looks set for a January move with Tottenham leading the chase for the inspirational midfielder.

The Cottagers claim they cannot afford to keep their player — but have not yet offered him a new deal.

And Bullard, who is paid £25,000-a-week, has told close friends he is even prepared to cut his wages by £5,000-a-week to remain at the club.

One source close to London-born Bullard, who joined Fulham for £2.5million from Wigan in 2006, said: “Jimmy loves Fulham and doesn’t want to leave. He’s had four meetings with the club and has repeatedly asked them to make him an offer.

“But they have not done so — even though Jimmy has told them he would take 20 per cent less in his pay.”

Battling Bullard, 30, caught the eye of Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp again in Friday’s goalless draw, despite having to go off with a dead leg.
