Joined the Addicks from Arsenal in August 2004 after moving to the Gunners from Everton in 2001. Jeffers, nicknamed 'the fox in the box' by Arsene Wenger, gives teams a different option with his predatory instincts. His form in the 2002/03 season warranted an England début, which he celebrated with a fine goal against Australia. Spent the 2003/04 season back on loan at Goodison Park and was also loaned out to Rangers during the 2005/06 campaign. Could prove to be a shrewd signing by Rovers if he can recapture the blistering scoring form of his youth.
