MikeO
Keep getting diverted to the wrong site, seems I have some malware or something (it's also changed my inPrivate homepage to Bing and won't let me change it back ). Looked online and tried the recommended Spybot S&D and Malwarebytes to no avail....anyone got any brilliant ideas? It's Windows 7 using IE8. Bill
Have you tried this Mike ....... http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/ Free download and its very good, a quick scan as soon as you download, then set it for a full scan once a week starting tomorrow. Much better than Spybot.

MikeO
Yeah, system restore sometimes works, if you know when the problem started restore to a date before. It's been going on for quite a while, occasional at first but getting worse, but that's a thought maybe. Wonder if there'd be any issues restoring to a couple of months back? I'll give that link a try Bill .
Wall Writer
I do a full system reinstall if things get too messy, or at least every six months or so. With windows 7 it only takes an hour or so. But you've got to be careful!
