Possible Destanations For Italian Players

POSSIBLE PLAYER DESTINATIONS

JUVENTUS

Patrick Vieira (30, midfielder)

The France midfielder may be back in the Barclays Premiership after only one season with Juve. Experienced mixed fortunes in Serie A following last summer's £13.7million move from Arsenal but after a good World Cup, clubs in England, Spain and France might be tempted

Fabio Cannavaro (32, defender)

The star playerof the World Cup - many felt he should have won the Golden Ball - Italy's captain has a host of intrested clubs but Real Madrid appears his likely destination. Real, now coached by former Juve boss Fabio Capello, are desperate to rebuild their notoriously shaky defence with Cannavaro the rock.

Gianluigi Buffon (28, goalkeeper)

Remains the most expensive goalkeeper in the world after Juve paid Parma a £33million for him in 2001. Arsenal were linked with Buffon during the World Cup but he could end up at Inter Milan.

Gianluca Zambrotta (29, defender)

Another star of the world cup, Zambrotta has become wanted by several clubs. Real are the favourites with Capello eager to play the full-back alongside Cannavaro in a new-look defence at the Bernabeu. But there may will be competition from Barcelona while Chelsea are also looking for a new left-back.

Pavel Nedved (33, midfielder)

Getting on abit but again a former European footballer of the year, and once described by Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho as "one of the best players in the world", Nedved has been linked with moves to Manchester United and Tottenham. But age is not on his side so the Czech Republic star is unlikely to move to a big club

Lilian Thuram (34, defender)

He remains a class act despite his age. Barcelona, Real, Arsenal and Manchester United are all looking for an experienced centre back with France's most capped player but Barcalona look like the favourites

David Trezeguet (28, striker)

Missed his pen in the world cup final. Little interest has been shown after failing to build on the promise shown earlier in his career. Famously missed France's only penalty in the World Cup final and a bid of around £4million could be enough to land the Juve striker.

AC MILAN

Kaka (24, midfielder)

Probably the only Brazilian player to emerge from the World Cup with his reputation enhanced, Kaka is a key transfer target for Real president Ramon Calderon. Kaka is a class player and i would love to see him in the premier league

Gennaro Gattuso (28, midfielder)

Many people's pick for the best defensive midfielder at the World Cup, Gattuso had pledged his loyalty to AC Milan whatever the outcome of the match-fixing trial. However, reality may start to bite outside of Serie A with Milan forced to sell. Manchester United are looking for a holding midfielder and Gattuso may be deemed suitable.

Filippo Inzaghi (32, striker)

In his prime there would have been a stampede of intrest. But as a proven goalscorer, often described as 'a master poacher' because of his predatory instincts, he would still appeal to clubs outside the cream of Europe's elite.

Alessandro Nesta (30, defender)

Chelsea are circling for Nesta who remains one of the world's great defenders. A partnership of the Italian alongside John Terry would be a class partenship and would be very tough to beat. Missed out on the World Cup final through injury and probably has two seasons left at the highest level.

FIORENTINA

Luca Toni (29, striker)

Real have reportedly already made a move for Toni so the Italy striker may have been determined to leave Fiorentina whatever the outcome of the match fixing trial. Inter Milan and Manchester United are also interested in a player who scored an incredible 31 goals in Serie A last season.

If youve got any more feal gree to post them ;)

Surely all the clubs will try to hold on to their players. Juve may take two years to get back but the other two will stand a good chance of going straight back...think mass clear-outs are unlikely personally..players are still under contract and earning vast sums.

I know...I really had hoped that Moyes had another two decent signings left in him before the transfer market closes...and as much as I would like to see us signing Inzaghi (that name would look so kewl on the back of my new shirt!), I dont hold out much hope.

But we can dream!

Inzaghi Would be Quality, but we need left backs Paolo Maldini :D

Camronesi is a nice little box to box player but i dont think he'd come to england.

are Relegation Worries Now intertwined with Per Kroldup's Career? Us in trouble then Fiore are sent down! :o

Alex Delboy Pierro Would be nice, but him being mates With Gallagher would mean he'll probably end up at Citeh.

Ibrahimovich is so overated i hope someone pays over the top money for him.

Palermo in the Champions League eh? Bet the Corleone's didnt see that one comming

(palermo is in sicilly for those Absent minded persons)

Sir Alex Ferguson's hopes of signing players from Juventus as a result of the Italian match-fixing scandal diminished yesterday with the news that AC Milan, the club owned by former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, are the likely team to benefit from the exodus of players from the former Italian champions.
