GoldfishMemory
*I've had a quick look but if there's another thread just shift this over* I've been really impressed this week with Everton's charitable events, we've done the annual visit to Alder Hey Children's hospital. There's been this Everton Street party thing going on around Liverpool and a friend of mine who is a school teacher and a home & away Liverpool fan, works at Halewood Academy told me we had an Everton party for a kid who had brain surgery recently where Sylavin Distin came and presented a signed shirt to the lad. Do we lead the way in terms of football clubs with these activities or is there any others who have raised the bar for the people in their communities? Lowensda
Completely agree, it's wonderful to see. I'm a big fan of 'charity', so anything the club does I hold high in regard.

Guest Nikica
I saw your photos and they were very touching. Still, I am pretty cynical about celebrity and celebrity institutions' charity work. I'm sure they have good intentions most of the time but it's also a way to generate positive PR. Still the sick kids are too young and innocent to know or care about that - they feel great at seeing their idols so that is ultimately what counts. I didn't wanna open a can of worms here on celebrities' charity motives. Edited December 22, 2013 by Nikica
