theres too much to read ref the stadium, im just looking at certain threads..if you try to read them all, your head goes into a spin

the way i see it is this, we have to move forward or we risk getting left behind. To be honest, four miles is nothing and kirkby is still part of liverpool (a line on a map doesnt change 100s of years of geographical history).

The investment is there, the stadium plan is in place, the figures have been juggled about and we would be crazy to turn it down. to get a brand new stadium for, potentially, £5million is incredible. Lots of other clubs, see liverpool and pompey for examples. are saddling themselves with debts to build £300million near stadia. what would happen if/when the americans move out of liverpool fc ? the oversea investment bubble will burst one day

people are always going to have strong views on this and once you mind is made up one way or the other, wild horses or nazi style propaganda cant change it

Spot on Hans. We've got a great deal which will mean no ongoing debt. This is the best possible way to attract future investment into the club. The board have been straight re. the wording of the question. Its not been loaded in favour of the move. Will those of you who are against the move then get behind the club if the votes in favour?

Our Chairman saying our stadium will be beyond repair in 10 years time and our CEO saying this is the only deal on the table "no plan B" seems pretty loaded to me.

Just because someone doesn't agree with you on the stadium issue doesn't make their comments any less sensible than what you say.

Ok fair enough , its just that in my humble opinion the whole issue is a no brainer. We can either pay £15m for a new stadium now before we lose too much ground on the rest of the Premiership( seems Reading are about the only team left in Prem who wont outbid us) or we could wait 5 or 6 years and pay £150m by wich time we would probably be in the championship

agreed....there is a lot of ifs and buts and maybe coming from LCC and lets be honest, they are full of red shite.

if the vote turns out to be no and we kiss goodbye to this chance, we will live to regret it

if the council wanted to keep us, why the fook havent they been helping us over the last 20 years ? they havent lifted a finger to help us ref a new stadium or investment. Their only concern is liverpool fc and the amount of money which is passed to them under the table by mega rich lfc directors. Why else do you think lfc are about to build a nice shiney new stadium on "never to be touched green belt" area.

all you ever hear from them is "well we do have some ideas of where the stadium could be built and some people wanting to invest"

nothing but total rubbish from a council who are scared to death about losing the peoples club from their city, well thats just tough because they deserve it...they've given us nothing.

we about to be showered with support, investment and a new stadium from a council who wants us and a company who wants a business relationship with us. there is no way we can say no to this, a no vote would leave us with a broken down stadium and struggling to find investment (a problem most people moan about on here day after day)

please dont let sentiment and "its our city" cloud your judgement...kirby is liverpool for ffs. its hardly moving to manchester or copenhagan !!

its yes all the way

From the main site

If the answer is no, then no further negotiation on the current proposed scheme will take place. If the answer is yes we will continue to negotiate with the two project partners.

So what counts as a yes or no, I guess its a sraight 50 50 thing

wont get our voting papers untill the week after next now
