KillaGTiR Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 Yeovil Town have taken Scott Spencer on a week's trial. The striker, 18, is spending a week at Huish Park, training with the League One outfit. Yeovil boss Russell Slade will assess the player, who arrived from Oldham in the summer of 2006. He has so far featured for both the reserves and under 18 sides during his time at Everton. is this the end of the road for him? Quote
Louis Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 It seems that way? I think he signed for around £200,000 and from judging by match reports - he never seemed to get his Oldham form here.. Quote
Blue4Ever Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 same will happen to jukiewics imo Quote
Romey 1878 Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 What are you basing that on? Not much seemingly. Jutkiewicz has done well for the reserves (and scored a couple unlike Spencer) and has played for us pre-season. Jutkiewicz has been getting good reviews. He isn't even comparable to Spencer. Quote
Blue4Ever Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 (edited) The lads not gunna get a chance even if he is good for his age, we have 5 players who are better than him and a player with potential to be an Everton great in Baxter, we wasted are time with Spencer just feel we have with Lukas aswell, bet he is playing for poor championship team or somthing in a year or 2. CraccerC Posted December 1, 2007 Report Posted December 1, 2007 you dont know whether baxter will be better than lukas or whether lukas will be better than anichebe.. only time will tell Quote
Fear The Latics Posted December 2, 2007 Report Posted December 2, 2007 Glad we cashed in on him when we did, didn't even get a first team appearence for us. Quote

Romey 1878 Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 I dont no for definate but from what I have seen of Jose he looks the business for his age. So did Branch, Jevons, Cadamarteri etc Quote
StevO Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 Glad we cashed in on him when we did, didn't even get a first team appearence for us. cashed in? surely you didnt buy anyone decent with all that money! Quote
Fear The Latics Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 cashed in? surely you didnt buy anyone decent with all that money! It's not all about buying flashy players with the cash we receive down here in League One. £200,000 would have gone someway in reducing the clubs expenditure for that season, Latics lose around £900,000 a year. Sales of youngsters such as Spencer is what we "little clubs" survive by. Quote
Bill Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 I AGREE WITH YOU ON THAT ONE MATE, every club outside the premier league, and a lot in the premier league are in financial difficulties. The 3 clubs that are relegated from the prem this season will each collect over 40 million pounds on the way out, and will each recieve another 20 million pounds Parachute payments for the next 3 seasons, that is fookin obscene. The Money should be spread about better amongst the lower Leagues. Quote
Josh Berno Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 Whos Spencer... Messin but it is like that no one really knows him havnt seen much so i suspect hes no good. Quote
StevO Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 thats just the risk you take, some work, some dont. good luck to him if his career works out Quote
