  1. Heitinga at Inter... Pls write that under the 'jokes'-topic.
  2. I think this rumor is as hopeless as when Arsenal fans thought they were in for Eden Hazard. The never were, cause he was too damn expensive for them... and you know Arsenal fans... When they hear a rumor they instantly think he's 'their' player and if another team signs him, they 'stole' the signing. Meanwhile according to Lille officials, already last year there was no team closer to signing Hazard than Chelsea. Meanwhile on M'Vila: he's a French international and midfield prodigy, someone who has been praised for a few seasons already. Not a typical Everton signing at all, Everton usually signs hidden gems that thay under other teams' radar, cause for some reason they effectively see something that others fail to see in these players. If it were true, which i highly doubt, you can be sure that the board is pretty damn certain that this guy is even better than everyone thinks he is.
  3. ... and then Dembele passes the ball backwards LOL... The number of times i've been frustrated by this... But otherwise, Dembele is a fantastic underrated player, but he's a working midfielder and not a forward by any means. If Belgium can forge a midfield between Fellaini, WItsel and Dembele, we're set.

Strange EPL table according to Sky Sports:

Mirallas creates some chances, offside goal too. When he gets adjusted to the team, he'll be pretty good

I'll just assume from now on that if a British person hasn't done a lap in a reasonable priced car on Top Gear, he/she isn't a well known personality in the UK

  11. Pretty crazy how much these Olympiacos fans miss their striker. They feel happy for them, but seem to get genuinely emotional over his leave https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfIHlM2rYOw

Pardon, I'm not always well aware of who is and who isn't a celebrity in the UK.

Eugine McGuiness predicted a 2-2 for this game. I understand his point of view, but there's an unknown factor; Mirallas.
  14. Chelsea's style doesn't fit him too well. He's more playful and attacking minded, and Chelsea defends a bit more ruggedly. He isn't always as solid, but if you'd imagine him in a more attacking team like Manchester City next to Kompany, I think it makes a lot of sense. In a more playful, attacking team where you can change positions and where you can rely on your midfield, I think Luiz could be world class. Italian style football especially, cause Man CIty's style looks more Italian than English to me. I don't know about Barca, cause if you pay 30 mil, logically you put him in your starting line-up. Are they planning on a Piqué-Luiz central defense partnership? I don't know about that, I'd rather see him go to City for the sake of football.
  15. I think when a pass accuracy is 3% different in just 1 season, then the difference is neglectable. If Gibson got 2 or 3 passes better in the season, it'd be the same score. Taking into account that he still needed to adjust to his new team, whereas Rodwell has already been in the squad for a few seasons, then I think Gibson did mighty well with 3% less accuracy.
  16. I'd rate Arsenal capable of such a move lol

Dawg, in all honesty, I wouldn't change the last formation. They worked so well together, the defense was top and putting Fellaini up front proved to be an important tactical choice.
  18. You should have seen the game. Reading was defending like there's no tomorrow. I have never seen a team on fire like that. I think it was the adrenalin of being promoted and playing in Stamford Bridge that gave them such power. If Chelsea didn't have Hazard they would have lost points.
  19. Many people thought Hazard was going to fail. Other people hoped he'd be like in his YouTube videos. They said he's not worth the fee, he's overrated they said. They were wrong. This gives hope for Mirallas' story. I think that no matter what impression or expectations you have on a new player like that, he'll sooner or later find his way. And it might not be in the way that we expect it to be.
  20. And it is a generally known fact in scientific circles that heads with more sides than a dodecahedron are detrimental to footballing qualities.
  21. I didn't miss Heitinga last game. It was a good move to bring him on as a 5th defender when EFC was ahead.
