  1. i dont get where your coming from on that one mate? city handed over maine road to the council, and now rent the COM stadium. a stadium which cost them nothing and is pretty close to the centre of a major city. if LCC would build a stadium, take GP off our hands and rent the stadium then thats a better view point. GP and maine road are/were probably similar in value (about 5-6m i believe they value GP) and the 200m left to spend on the team is helped a lot when your owned by one of the richest consortiums in the world, which we are not, and will probably not be in the near future. we are not based in an attractive part of the country, we dont have people crying out for executive seats.
  2. im not making out anyone is thick, but if you dont see the lies as an issue i dont understand you. the stadium was sold to us on lies. the old regimes lies, but thankfully that prick has gone now. 78m compared to 200m isnt necessarilly great business, not when we wont own it anyway. would you pay a third of a landlords building costs then rent the house back from him?
  3. id take him, could teach our lads a thing or two, even at his age. a loan or free would be good business for a few months
  4. it wasnt a straight forward yes or no, not when they sent out a proposal, and telling us it would be virtually free. well £78m isnt virtually free in my book, and it does change the whole proposal 100%. do we want the move to be right? or right now?
  5. we had a vote for kirkby with a lot of lies involved? have you been on another planet since the vote? surely you are aware of the lies that have come out? not least the lies about the costs involved to EFC?
  6. if he could work with any of our strikers like he does with rooney for england i would be more than happy.
  7. i dont think you can call any of them senior to be honest. i mean, baxter still isnt a pro and the other two are even further down the pecking order than him. vic is the closest to being senior, and hes only 4th choice! (and shit)
  8. you dont think the club have anything to do with the division of the fans, nothing to do with all the lies they told us? the division to me is basically people who still believe the lies (even after they have been publically revealed) and people who dont. and the major fall off of support has to be down to whats happening on the pitch, when were winning games the attendances go up, when were not winning they go down. its always been that way.
  9. i miss his flair, but to think mcfadden and saha could get us into the top four makes me think you may have been dabbling a little with crack
  10. care to give a bit more detail there patto? not sure what you mean.
  11. i think hes worth a go, but honestly dont see castillo or rodwell doing the job long term. castillo surely wont last after this season, and long term rodwell will get back into defence. (done a good job so far though)
  12. totally randon there dark, but i do like that 3rd one.
  13. oh shit! they better find some money asap, saha and vic cant see the rest of the season out alone.
  14. jags was once again outstanding, but i game it to pienaar as he showed today what we've been asking arteta to do for the last 18months.
  15. watching the same game, cars is doing a great job, and i wish we still had mcfadden with his ability to change a game.
  16. against stoke he played very well, against standard he played well. hes just a simple tidy midfielder, i think we could do with that at the moment.
  17. i dont get why people think he's useless in a 442. he doesn't score as many goals, but he's not a one trick pony. in a 442 hes as good as fellaini or osman in the middle. he rarely gives away position, gives less fouls than big mo and gets stuck in more than osman.
  18. he didny push him, and im sure you'll remember liverpool did not play in the CL final last year
  19. i think he is as good as centre midfielder as any of our others. but playing off the striker i think he is our best player.
  20. then reserve judgement yourself mate, its a two way street, but you cant see it for some reason. if we cant be positive about it then you cant be negative, under your own guidelines.
  21. the point is paul, to sell it to both sets of fans it would have to be spectacular
  22. works both ways mate, until you've seen any dont assume it wont be great. the only plansso far have come from trevor skempton, and they were pretty impressive and individual to me.
  23. its all very much gaining interest at the moment. theres nothing wrong with the current logo, just looking at the possibilities of the future
  24. VAUGHAN INJURY BLOW bad times
