  1. What about Alex Nyarko? I never saw him live so I don't know .
  2. Putting down flags first and 3" square tanalised bearers on top of those.....the previous one was just on slabs but the floor got a bit damp because the drainage isn't great so I want it lifted up a bit with plenty of airflow underneath. Got nothing done today because we've been descended on by daughters and grandchildren as a mother's day surprise for the wife .
  3. Brunswick! Brunswick Square, Bloomsbury, London. Brunswick Dock, on the Thames at Blackwall. Brunswick Lake is in Virginia, US of A. And Brunswick are the leading manufacturers of bowling equipment. If that's not the right answer then it bloody well ought to be . Do you come up with these yourself Jim? Clever stuff if you do.
  4. '84 Cup Final I walked onto the terraces with two mates and didn't see them again until I got back to the car after the game . The joys of standing, you just went where you were taken. Found plenty of new mates though....about 40,000 odd .
  5. First part of that is true (accordingto the beeb stats), 62% to 38% and they had fourteen shots and ten corners (to Liverpool's thirteen and three). But Liverpool obviously did create chances, played well and fully deserved the win....defensive mistakes are often forced.
  6. What odds? I didn't give any . Out of interest though you can get 1/29 on us finishing top six, so as far as the bookies are concerned it's pretty much a certainty. We're also about 2/1 to get fifth and 10/1 to make the top four.
  7. Surprised no-one's pointed this out yet but Arsenal beating Hull the other night has made it 99.9% certain that seventh place will get a Europa Cup spot. Even if we were to fall apart completely I can't see us getting overtaken by two clubs. Still need to look upwards for me but that's an extra bit of insurance in case things go wrong.
  8. It is. Being delivered Monday, daughter's boyfriend booked in to help me put it up on Tuesday (watch it start to piss with rain ) but it's a real struggle to get the ground dead level. I'll get there though .
  9. My thoughts exactly. Was pleased when Davey signed his because it was a statement of personal intent after speculation that he was off, but as for Benitez "Tying himself to Anfield until 2014," bollocks. The length of the contract is just a tool to work out the levels of compensation if he screws up .
  10. Good news, five more years of premier league mediocrity assured .
  11. Ian..There's a bloke called Ian who sells the Big Issue in Trafalgar Square. You'll just have to take my word for it (though Jim obviously knows him). Baker..There's currently a job opportunity for a bakery operative in Twickenham (LINK), which is on the Thames. Finch..Lake Finch is a beautiful spot in Colorado (LINK). Ian Baker-Finch! These are getting too easy Jim....NEXT!
  12. Must be a hell of a good feeling Chris to have your lad doing so well. Hope he has a long and injury free career mate, and just maybe one day he'll play for the good guys .
  13. Why is it soooo difficult to get a piece of earth (that looks completely flat to the naked eye) flat ? I think my spirit level must be malfunctioning <_< ! Bastard bubble....I hate it!
  14. Thanks for the info! Your brother/brother in-law is a wise man indeed .
  15. Glaring and Error are David James' middle names Jamie. I'm confident....which is a bit strange, because I usually like to opt for pessimism . Worrying.
  16. I'm impressed. They don't go on sale for five days . Looks like there's a few spare around the Royal Box, get me some aristocracy on the phone pronto!
  17. Yup....like they said^^^^^. Have a great day !
  18. Mortifying for United fans. Hilarious for everyone else .
  19. I'm sensing a softening in your attitude EW. You very nearly said something positive about him there.... I think you're coming round, you'll be clamouring for him to get a new contract in a couple of weeks !
  20. I've never booed and can't see a situation where I would...I've been severely depressed and angered by many performances over the years and I've screamed and shouted and sulked....but never booed . And as for abusing young players who've made a good contribution as a teenager, like Agbonlahor, I'd certainly never say boo to the Goose . I'll get my coat :| .
  21. Who writes this shite....he'd have rather not leant him to Everton because we are, "....a rival at the top of the table." In what parallel universe is that then ?
  22. New fitness regime started today....up at 6.15, swimming pool at 7.00 and a swift sixteen lengths before breakfast. Impressive eh? Might even join the wife in the pool myself one day . For now, watching is exercise enough for me....I need a lie down .
