As Jo scored the last one I guess he'd take it if he was on the pitch.
Sunday? Good question. Baines maybe?
We've not even got anyone who scored in the Fiorentina shoot-out available (Gravesen, Arteta). Jags missed then but I suppose he could be an option. Guarantee it'd be a blast straight down the middle though I'd have thought.
Has Saha ever been a penalty taker?
Fair point. I've never voted for him (Baadhi) and he's only had twelve votes all season out of 1250+ cast.
Symbolic more than anything, just a way of offering a protest vote if people think the team's played particularly poorly.
Yesterday will be completely forgotten if we get a result on Sunday, and I'm sure (as I said in the match thread) that maybe some of the players were thinking about the 'Boro game last night.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney were involved in a furious half-time tunnel bust-up with Newcastle defender Steven Taylor during Manchester United's 2-1 win at St James' Park. One United player said Taylor was a "useless defender", to which he replied "at least I am not ugly". (Various)
Sounds like an absolutly furious incident. I'm surprised the police didn't get involved .
Did Rooney put his thumb on his nose and say nya nya na na na ?
Shameful .
It's been discontinued, last year's was the last one.
Seventh is likely to be a Europa Cup place also, just needs one of ManU, Arsenal or Chelsea to win the FA Cup (or us of course).
It's a hugely pessimistic point of view to say sixth is a "possibility" though. Has to be a strong probability at the least .

Felt that way for days Mark, everyone else seemed so confident so I didn't like to say anything .
He's talking up the team spirit which is one of the (few) things we have over other clubs at the moment.
The players read it and it makes them feel good, they know how it is but it's still good to see it in print, so even if you think it's a waste of time as far as the fans are concerned it'll certainly do the team no harm.
Davey...
"If it was team spirit you were basing it on, Everton are top of the Premier League and probably Champions League winners as well."
"You gauge it by the players, and what they give up for the team. We like soloists who win us things and make things happen but we also love people who are willing to work for the team and work for their team mates. When you win games it breathes a great spirit, and from that is grows."
"On and off the field they work really well together, so we're fortunate we've got that."
"Obviously we miss some and we hope they recover quickly, but if they were in they would expect me to do the same thing and get on, and i think the players need an awful lot of credit, they've been fantastic."
Nice quote.
According to the BBC team news Rodwell, "...has recovered from a dead leg."
Gamst Pedersen is suspended though I remember from last year that the Blackburn fans don't rate him at all. Dunn possibly back from a hamstring which we could do without, possibly (with Santa Cruz) their biggest threat.
Not tried any of them but I'd (on description) have to go with the duck or the bhaji (didn't we try to sign a guy called that once ).
Chocolate crisps ? Never .
Used to love spring onion flavour but I don't think anyone makes them any more .
We've talked about this before Jim. I think it has merit, but when you come to making the decision on each specific case it would be very difficult to prove intent. It's a bit like judgeing a "crime of passion," at what point does in become pre-meditated...and how do the authorities decide how much in advance of the incident the intent was formed? Is it more acceptable to break someone's leg with an immediate emotional response to being fouled than to chase after them for five seconds....or ten seconds?
In some cases I think it would be a great idea, but then logically Roy Keane would have been banned for life after his assault on Busst. It would be a very tough law to write and to enforce.
Yeah fair play to Oldham (though the game was at Boundary Park Bill, not at Leeds ).
Reading up on Hughes he really seems to have changed, is genuinely remorseful and has tried to make amends (as much as anyone can in the circumstances).
