  1. Very funny ! Didn't get the tic-tac ad in my region though....it was one for stone-effect tiles followed by the VW Golf one <_< .
  2. The Echo... "LOUIS SAHA is hoping to give David Moyes a welcome selection headache this weekend by making his long-awaited return to Everton’s squad. With Jo cup-tied, Moyes could do with having another striker in his squad and though Saha is unlikely to play from the start, he could take a place on the bench." Good news .
  3. Baffles me how he gets picked....so many mistakes. He may be a great keeper 95% of the time but that's nowhere near good enough. Certainly wouldn't have him at Everton, unless the only alternative was Teflon.....and even then I'd have to think about it <_< .
  4. Up until the goal he was the highest rated England defender (and second rated in the whole team) according to the BBC's player rater. So for thirty-five minutes out of forty-five he was doing OK, and that wasn't just voted for by blues....but it was a poor pass .
  5. That would be a tragic waste of talent .
  6. You'll need a good CV....I fear there will be stiff competition .
  7. Don't think anyone could have done anything about that, completely exposed by the pass to Villa, midfield shouldn't have let it happen.
  8. Is it confirmed as LCS or is that still just rumour? Doesn't really bother me who makes it personally (as I've said before) as long as it has the Everton badge on . But that's probably a generational thing, anyone under forty will be horrified I guess.
  9. Elstone confirmed a change in his webchat.... "JJB and Umbro expires in just over three months' time. Expect some exciting news in the near future." Anyone have any inside info.....Louis ?
  10. "You've only got to go back one week to see how well Phil Jagielka - along with Joleon Lescott - dealt with Fernando Torres in the Everton-Liverpool derby." BBC Radio 5 Live commentator Alan Green Compliments from all sides!
  11. David James, Glen Johnson, Ashley Cole, Phil Jagielka, John Terry, Michael Carrick, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Gareth Barry, Emile Heskey, Stewart Downing, Gabriel Agbonlahor. Comment on the Beeb site... "I feel sorry for Torres seeing Jagielka, he's only just managed to get out of his pocket! He'll be sat on the pitch crying!" ....just don't get hurt lad!
  12. One of my all time favourites, never tire of watching it .
  13. Forget the report....is he OK ? No nasty Japanese treading on his metatarsil, that's all I'm interested in!
  14. "Hum" is about right. Nice work detective .
  15. I think it's OK as long as people respect each other's views and it doesn't start to get abusive. We have a fairly good record on here in that respect, and someone tends to cut in with the "agree to differ" clause if things look like getting silly. The exception to this rule is, of course, anyone who disagrees with me. They are then obviously plainly deserving of limitless derision and ridicule .
  16. Don't think I've ever been into a Starbucks but if I needed an espresso the fact that the good old US Army don't want me to go there would make me more likely to give them my custom than not .
  17. Injury: Non-existent. Expected Return: Played an hour last night for the reserves.
  18. Evertonian theme on the BBC news this morning. First Brian Viner, Independent journo and author talking about his new book....abot 70's TV, not Everton...but he's a staunch Blue (evidence HERE). Then Jenny Seagrove talking about being on stage... "It's the most wonderful thing on earth.....apart from scoring a goal for Everton!"
  19. Capellao is at pains to point out (mainly when asked about Beckham) that he'd going to pick the team on form. If that extends through the whole team, spot the deliberate mistake in the following sentence... "England coach Fabio Capello’s desire to play his strongest possible side in Seville tonight means Rio Ferdinand and John Terry are set to start in the centre of defence."
  20. It's the offending idiots that need walking out of the ground....by the police.....but it won't happen. Needs serious action by FIFA (or UEFA, whoever has the authority), serious fines, games behind closed doors, home games plyed outside of the country or ultimately throw them out of competitions. It's not just Spain of course, Eastern Europe is probably worse but slightly lower profile. If the players feel the need to walk off tonight then fine....it would be far better, and maybe get the message through, if the Spanish players walked off first .
  21. John Terry... "I was very shocked by what's happened." "He had my full support, that's for sure, and I'm sure two or three of the other players would say the same." ....another "between the lines" quote. Only three or four supporting him? That leaves a lot that weren't .
  22. Hey Noddy. Shane's dad apparently not so happy.... http://www.toffeetalk.com/forums/index.php...85&hl=duffy
  23. He's 40-1 at best....but caused a momentary flutter there Taxi <_< .
  24. Joleon's not played at all well for England. And anyway by that logic he wouldn't have called up Beckham, Ferdinand, Terry. Lampard, Barry etc etc (he knows they're all good enough so doesn't need to play them!?). It's a pretty daft argument tbh, Lescott's not been called up because he's fallen begind Jags in the pecking order, simple as. I agree with that....I just don't think he should have fallen behind Upson as well.
