  1. No need to apologise Jim, you be as cynical as you like. I'm just the messenger .
  2. I'm not playing any more <_< .
  3. You may have to wait a few hours for any coherent response mate, but I'm sure you'll get it .
  4. Team (not surprisingly) is unchanged. Segundo Castillo, Lars Jacobsen, Andy van der Meyde, Joseph Yobo, Jack Rodwell, Carlo Nash, and Dan Gosling on the bench. No Vic.
  5. I'm trying to block that prospect out altogether . Don't remember ever seeing Howard save a pen for us...Reina is a different matter. We did win one in 2004 though...I was there. Bristol City in the Carling Cup . And we had Teflon in goal (though he didn't actually save one) . PENALTY SHOOT-OUT: Murray scored 1-0, Watson saved 1-0, Lita missed 1-0, Cahill scored 1-1, Heffernan scored 2-1, Stubbs scored 2-2, Miller scored 3-2, Campbell scored 3-3, Coles hit bar 3-3, Carsley scored 3-4.
  6. Languages was my strong point at school and I can get by quite well in French and German (Greek's coming along as well), but I sure as hell wouldn't do a newspaper interview in either . Maybe he's struggling a bit....nothing personal against him but pro footballers aren't usually the sharpest pencils in the box .
  7. If he's lucky he'll find his level and make a reasonable living in the lower leagues, like Jeffers, Jigsaw and Cadburymartini before him. Couple of good memories from last season's UEFA is all his Everton legacy will amount to.
  8. Dominic King in the Echo... What it is clear, though, is the overwhelming sense that Anichebe has let his manager, team-mates and supporters down on the eve of the most important fixture of the season. He has dismayed some of his colleagues with the attitude he has shown over the past month and has, on more than one occasion, let it be known that he wanted a move away from Goodison Park. ....stupid boy. We're the biggest/best club he'll ever get the chance to play for and he's blown it. Best rid.
  9. I misread that (don't have my glasses on) as, "....it's tempting to question his medication." . Anyway, agree with the sentiment of the thread. Nice not to have a blinkered delusional paranoid madman in charge (like some clubs in the local area ).
  10. He couldn't really say anything else given the circumstances could he?
  11. If I still lived in Wimbledon I'd take you up on it Andy but I'm a bit west of there now. 164 miles to be exact . Hope we get a result for you.
  12. That occurred to me also taxi but if you check his vid you'll see he's a true blue!
  13. Won't let you vote without an OZ phone number or postcode. But nice vid, good luck. Did you get to Goodison?
  14. Lampard won the appeal. No surprise....but the right decision out of the FA for once, so maybe it is .
  15. Say what you like about Ross (and I know no-one's said anything negative here) but he always responds. Wanted some info last year before we came up for the Sunderland game, but the question only occurred to me on Christmas Day. Emailed him anyway, thinking I may get an answer before we left home on the 27th. He replied within fifteen minutes....in detail. That's dedication. Don't think there's many clubs where you'd regularly get such a response from someone so high up in the organisation.
  16. Knocked out of the FA Cup twice eh? That'd be a kick in the teeth !
  17. "Referee Mike Riley phoned Frank Lampard to personally apologise for sending the Chelsea player off at the weekend." Did anyone see the S*n "journalist" on Setanta yesterday insisting it was the right decision and that Lampard meant it? Smug c*n* (not a word I use often but S*n journos warrant it ).
  18. Going to be announced this morning apparently. Arshavin's agent Dennis Lachter claimed he was "very confident" the 27-year-old's move from Zenit St Petersburg will be ratified by the Premier League. "It was completed in extra time but we must wait for confirmation," he said.
