  1. Ridiculous idea, it'll never catch on . I have a system whereby I throw my clothes into a corner and they re-appear later in wardrobe or drawer automatically flattened to perfection. I thought all houses were fitted with such a facility .
  2. No way. Lescott was marking him but there was no way he could have covered the run. Hibbo was on the near post but it was past him too fast for him to react. Carsley at fault if anyone cos he was the front man....but as TC came to the rescue (not to mention the two points he pulled out of the bag for us last week) I think I'll let him off (sure he'll be relieved to hear it ).

    Hello!

Welcome to the pleasure dome . It's a fine time to be an Evertonian and you're very welcome!
  4. Wondered the same Zed. From an American slang dictionary... clutch ( adj ) Excellent, outstanding.
  5. Don't know about their back four being "dodgy" but it's nice to see a positive intent....gladly take 0-0 though. Made it past that Mark ......Go Clock!!!!
  6. Definite feeling of impending doom here, feels like only a matter of time. One of those games where you just want the clock to speed the fuck up .
  7. Carvalho off injured....shame .
  8. Chances looking slimmer . Mikel Arteta misses out for Everton as they take on Chelsea. The influential Spaniard has a groin problem and is replaced by Tony Hibbert. Phil Neville switches to midfield with HIbbert slotting in at right back. The backline is completed by Jospeh Yobo, Joleon Lescott and Nuno Valente. Neville is joined in midfield by Steven Pienaar, Leon Osman and Lee Carsley, with Tim Cahill offering support to front-man Yakubu.
  9. Sense a personal interest there, are you his mum/sister/girlfriend/nan/cousin/auntie/mate Cerys?
  10. Anyone noticed TT has a total of 99,748 posts? The time has come to start jockeying for position for the honour of the 100,000th I think .
  11. So Chelsea liked us under Mourinho and as a result gave us "good" games.....but now they like Liverpool so they're going to try their hardest to beat us. Hmmm, can I have some of what you're smoking Josh....it must be good stuff. And thanks for that CFC, be appreciated by many I'm sure (spent years living in Wimbledon myself....few stops up the distict line and I was there, problem was that it was in the days of away supporters being frog-marched everywhere by a police cordon so they'd never let me cross the bridge at Fulham Broadway to go home....had to go north a stop or two and then get off and come back <_< ).
  12. Extract and link from a piece in todays Independent by Brian Viner (who's a serious Blue so I'm sure he won't mind me stealing it). Sobering stuff. .....all of which brings me to a new website (http://www.cwgc.org/glorydays/flash.html), created by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. The initiative, which is backed by the Premier League and the Football Association, is intended to show youngsters that the rheumatic old men being wheeled past the Cenotaph tomorrow are honouring not the memories of other old men, but the Michael Owens and Wayne Rooneys of their day. Not to mention the Emile Heskeys. This is the full article..Link.
  13. But if you finish third you get drawn against a group winner, which may well be tougher than a Champions League loser. Also if you finish first or second in the group you get to play the second leg of the next round at home....big advantage imo.
  14. Quit while you're ahead, or become a bookie. The only two ways to make money gambling .
  15. So how do you celebrate when your team win 8-0 (if you're a red)? I'll tell you what you do, you go to have a look at what the blue half is saying, with the bizarre side effect that our record from "that" legendary night has finally been broken... Most users ever online was 124 on Nov 6 2007, 11:28 PM How many of us went onto Liverpool message boards to see what they were saying about us last night? I'd take a wild guess at none. Sad bastards.
  16. Odds shortening on our chances, we're fifth favourites now (roughly tied with Fiorentina) behind Bayern, Spurs, Atletico Madrid and Villarreal (as opposed to the Carling Cup, where we're available at 15-1....rated eighth of eight <_< ).
  17. Stay calm lads....look who's back in the squad, everything's gonna be OK . Everton: Howard, Wessels, Hibbert, Neville, Jagielka, Yobo, Stubbs, Lescott, Valente, Baines, Carsley, Osman, van der Meyde, Pienaar, Arteta, Gravesen, Cahill, Anichebe, Yakubu, McFadden, Vidarsson.
  18. Or if you were a gunner would you want K155 ARS ?

Great post Sebbo, glad you enjoyed it and I hope we help you out by taking the next six points . Don't think Valente was any worse than the rest of the defence personally, couple of daft mistakes but he wasn't alone in that. At least he always played it on the floor. Watched the game through at speed this morning and Howard was far and away the most guilty of the long punt....which is acceptable at times I suppose, he's not paid to play football. His contribution made it look worse than it was I think, counted Lescott doing it four times, Yobo three and once each for Neville and Arteta (at least he was back helping out). Majority of the time we played it along the ground. Edit....you missed out the fact that it was his ball through to Anichebe that got us the pen Carl.
  20. Think the fact that it's got 406 in it adds to the value (if that's what you drive), likewise if the numbers were any other Peugeot model (or Porsche, eg 911, Alpha eg 156, Volvo eg V70, Ferrari eg 360, Fiat eg 500 ) think would add a lot. Worth (as everything always is) what someone is willing to pay. Fortunately mine (as you know) came with the car .
  21. Already got one thanks, exactly the same (other than the numbers) . On a Peugeot 406 it'd be dead cool though (be interested to hear what you get for it, mine's gonna stay with me whatever).

Me also, luckily it was the only ball he connected with sweetly all night. Agree with Bill that it's not the strongest back four we've ever put out, many players below par and the opposition were fairly poor but we're still going to be in Europe til Feb at least....love it .
