  1. It's on 11.30am Sunday on four Zed..web site here..>>>LINK<<< (hope you stood and saluted during the anthem )
  2. All the replies (as far as I read) point out what a worthless article it is though. Completely meaningless...I particularly liked this one.... Lescott is superb for an Everton TEAM where he plays with a strong goalkeeper, Nigeria's captain alongside him and ALWAYS has easy options of Arteta and Carsley. Playing for England amongst a clique of overpaid, over hyped, under-acheiving millionaires must be very difficult for him.

    Sunderland

This will be the highlight of the week-end for me..raising awareness of male cancer... During half-time of the Blues’ game with Sunderland on Saturday November 24, Mr Testicles – the charity’s mascot will be on the pitch at Goodison Park. This is Mr Testicles (bollock head to his friends apparently ) I know the cause is good, but the girls had nice pink shirts for their awareness day, not a huge tit bouncing around the pitch (might have been nice though ). Be interesting to see what sort of reception the sac man gets .
  4. Forget O'Neil and Mourinho and the rest, got it sorted. Only one option...Slaven Bilic !
  5. Agree with tying Ossie in, he's earned it for me. Hibbo's contract (unlike Ossie's) runs out after this season so it's not a question of giving him an improved deal, but whether we give him a new one or not when it runs out. I'd keep him as a squad player but rather he wasn't first choice.
  6. Is that the official Catholic Church line Craccer or just your own considered personal theological position? Lady Chatterley's Lover?
  7. Part of its remit when it started... "...Channel 4 was established in 1982 with a specific intention of providing programming to groups of minority interests, not catered for by its competitors." Given that it was back in the dark ages where people had BBC1, ITV and BBC2 (if they were lucky), no breakfast TV, only schools programmes during the day and the epilogue at about midnight followed by the national anthem and shutdown things have change a little . It's still committed to catering to minorities though, even if it's a fair point that it's no longer a minority channel.
  8. I know it's not official yet but.... The Football Association is expected to announce England manager Steve McClaren has been sacked at a news conference at 0945 GMT. The FA has been holding an emergency board meeting since 0830 GMT in London. Don't know why it's going to take an hour and a quarter, thirty seconds would have been enough surely!
  9. Pitiful that McLaren can't be a man and resign... The Football Association are to hold a board meeting on Thursday at 0830 GMT to discuss Steve McClaren's future. After his side failed to qualify for Euro 2008, McClaren insisted he would not resign as England coach. "I'm not steping down," McClaren told BBC Sport after England, who needed just a point to qualify from Group E, lost 3-2 to Croatia at Wembley. "I take responsiblity - it was my job to get us qualified and I failed to do it. I'm not discussing my future." Full odds here...>>>LINK<<<< Martin O'Neil would do for me by preference, but anyone really....my granny would be a step up from McLaren, and she's been dead twenty years!
  10. ....and neither are we at the moment, 2-0 down.. or :crying_anim: :crying_anim: :crying_anim: . Not sure. Talking to myself here, but wtf do we do at half time to get out of this? Carson looks terrified every time the ball comes anywhere near him but he can't waste a sub on him surely. Needs someone else up front. We can't take a free kick to save our lives. Pathetic. Can only get better second half can't it? Edit at 2-1....never a penalty, but I'll take it . Edit at 2-2... :arrowhead:  ....and Carson's playing a blinder :sad01_anim: . (still time to lose it though) Edit at 3-2...told you. Taxi for Mr McLaren! ...and good night. PS Least we were put out by an Evertonian . Final thought, stolen from the BBC site... "Without doubt, the defining image of McClaren's short reign. With their backs against the wall, England need blood, sweat and tears, and yet McClaren stood there helpless, umbrella aloft, not even prepared to get his hair wet!"
  11. That's a real pain Liam, sure you'll find a way though! Just a small point....what if your Khakiv ticket was one of the "missing" thousands, like mine (which never arrived). The promised explanation for the fiasco was never given after their supposed investigation, and despite two emails (from me) to Ian Ross and one to the communications dept I've had no word. Not going to Amsterdam myself, love to and if I was young, free and single I'd be there. Funny enough though I am in Amsterdam in February when the first leg of the first ko round gets played. Wonder what the possibilities of being back in Holland for that are? Get on it will ya JD !

    Sunderland

Sunderland's only two away points have come from last minute equalizers at Birmingham and Boro, two things.. 1. It's a must win. 2. If we're one goal up in the last minute the defence needs to concentrate! Early goal would be nice, as would one from AJ if he's available....from the bench or otherwise. Be nice to pick up where we left off and keep the run going; if we can avoid defeat at Pompey next week then there's no reason we can't go to Old Trafford on the 23rd twelve or thirteen unbeaten. Long time since that's happened I'd have thought.
  13. Good idea....let's stop all our players playing international football while we're at it. Slight drawback might be that no international class player will ever sign for us again and all the ones we have will leave as soon as they can. But we'll have lots of money in the bank to buy as many second rate players as we like as we drop down through the leagues. Good plan .
  14. Looks nice but sadly it would never work for us...the goals are the wrong shape .
  15. Not overly keen personally, didn't use the last one a lot during its short life....but would maybe be good during matches.
  16. Went to work in the morning, got pissed up at lunchtime and fell asleep on the train on the way home. Woke up twenty miles from home going in the wrong direction . Got to my local eventually and fell asleep under a table in the corner after a few more drinks....blank from then on. Girlfriend unimpressed . My 21st was good though .
  17. Two words...Big Bang . Everything in the universe is moving at a gazillion mph...what is beyond it? What was here (or not) before it? It's impossible to get your brain around and you'll go mad if you try so religion is a way of not thinking about it. Have said before don't get religion at all and find it unfathomable how so many otherwise seemingly intelligent people believe in such (imo) irrational fantasy, but I have no problem with people doing so as long as they don't knock on my door to try and "save" me or try to blow me up in an aeroplane.
  18. I know people will gamble on a lot of stuff, but this is pretty sick imo... >>>LINK<<< Don't know how long the Baiji has left but I'd fancy a little flutter on homo sapiens myself....might have a little problem picking up the winnings though .
  19. Just fell into this prog on Channel 4 this week-end....bit like the X Factor only with proper talented bands rather than middle-of-the-road pop garbage. Think it's very sad that the music industry has fallen to the level where shite choreographed cover versions and talentless wannabees fill Saturday night prime time TV and tabloid headlines while proper musicians get a programme on a minority channel that I found only by accident. Were the sixties (not to mention punk) a complete waste of time?
  20. I think Yorkie should be barred!!!! god I'm bored. 999,848
  21. Just came across the full answer to this by accident....if anyone's interested. Apparently it was ten starters and twelve in total.. At the start of the Premiership in 1992, just 10 players in the starting lineups for the first weekend were foreign – John Jensen, Anders Limpar (both Arsenal), Eric Cantona (Leeds United), Michel Vonk (Manchester City), Peter Schmeichel, Andrei Kanchelskis (both Manchester United), Gunnar Halle (Oldham Athletic), Jan Stejskal (QPR), Roland Nilsson (Sheffield Wednesday) and Hans Segers (Wimbledon). Robert Warzycha (Everton) and Ronnie Rosenthal (Liverpool) came on as substitutes

    Iq Test

Have no need of a website test to confirm my genius .
  23. Macedonia beating Croatia now . Although they've probably heard the Israel result which means they've definitely qualified....we'll probably win the group .
  24. I'm (sort of) delighted that you were right Craccer, though sounds like Israel rode their luck in the second half. Steve Mclaren has apparently converted to Judaism .
  25. If we scrape through after this I will be embarrassed . Unlucky Scotland (Faddy, Davey and Naysmith in particular). (Edit 2-1 Israel)
