  1. I just cannot imagine any managers from the premiership seriously considering going to Newcastle afetr whats happened. The club has ruined several managers careers with weight of expectation and reluctancy to give them time do a job. Also the lack of control that they are given would mean that anyone taking a job at Newcastle would simply have to be a front what the owners want. The club is a joke in my opinion, a pantomime club that any self-respecting, ambitious manager would shun. Step up Dennis Wise you've found you're calling.
  2. It could be said that VDM has been a worse siging than Kroldrup, at least we managed to get rid of Per straight away, VDM is here for life.
  3. I hope he's got something part time lined cos the poor bastards gonna be skint come christmas!!
  4. Odds are down to 8 - 1 for Moyes to be the next Newcastle manager. I'll eat a hat made out of shite if he does.
  5. I'm sure we've been linked with this fella in the past and Moyes has had him watched. Toffee 77 - Jacobsen at right back and drop Neville?
  6. I heard that exact same 'theory' just the other day from my mate who's friends with someone who used to work at the club and still has contacts there. I know it could be one of those my mates sisters hairdresser stories but .....
  7. We've been linked with this fella in the past, i recognised his name when i watched Liege against the shite the other night, also thought he looked good.
  8. It also says that we have an option to buy, do we reckon that means we would have agreed a fee if we take that option?
  9. Our medical staff won't pass him if they don't think he's fit enough to feature this season. If he is he could be a really good sigining.
  10. i admit it's not what we expected but for a frustrating summer where the majority of our targets have choosen to go elsewhere/stay where they are, where we've been priced out of the market then it's not a bad haul. We've been fearing the worst, a lot have been saying we're not going to sign anyone so i reckon it we managed to secure that lot we'd have done alright. In a perfect world my original post would have been full of M'Bia's, Milito's and Moutinho's.
  11. Whatever you do don't commit to a hypothetical statement mate I reckon Topal, Milner, Larsson, Obinna, Castillo and Jacobsen would be a tidy haul for a 'frustrating summer in the transfer market'.
  12. Is Faddy worth 5.5m? Is SWP worth 10m? I'd say all of the prices quoted here are above their true valuation so i'd expect to pay a little more for Milner than expected. I do think that he's proven over quite a few seasons now that he's a good honest, hardworking player that doesn't mind getting stuck in and scores goals and has time to improve. Bring him on, reckon he'd be great in a blue shirt.
  13. i'm not sure how he progressed from when he looked turd at City, for the price being banned about i'd much sooner we bought someone else.
  14. I think he's seen as a Carsley replacement so the speed element certainly won't be an issue. H'e s better passer of the ball than Harry so might even add a different element to that role. I've got a feeling that this could turn out to be another Arteta situation, i really hope this comes off.
  15. I'm all for this fella arriving, reckon it could just the move he needs to 'ressurect' his career after a shit spell with Juve. I sort of remember him being a regular for Chelsea in first season and only losing his place in the team because Essien arrived (?)
  16. Why has he become a 'free transfer' ?
  17. I'm not, the little icon thing at the end of the statement suggests it's a joke.
  18. Exactly, still want to see those 2 or 3 top targets come in with the likes of Bullard to increase the size of our squad.
  19. I like Bullard and think he would make an excellent addition to our squad. Puts in good solid performances, excellent shot on him and is useful with freekicks. Think he'd be great to have around the team. Lets just hope he's the first of 6.
  20. Enough now lads, it's boring me. Lets get back to the topic .... Read this morning that Man City are preparing a bid of £10 million for him. Really can't see this fella coming our way.
  21. I always enjoy being a blue with along with that enjoyment i find myself frustrated with the clubs lack inability to build and improve our situation which, in turn, lessens the enjoyment. It's fine balancing act for us blues that i'm guessing none of us would change. Never a dull day!!!
  22. Does anyone know if this guy is actually a Blue? I know he played for us when he was younger (acadamey or something).
  23. I reckon we'll have to offer more than just a 'bit' if we're gonna get this guy
  24. Well hopefully we won't have to resort to signing Smith or if we do it's because Moyes is being greedy with the numbers or he's signing him as cover for M'Bia when he goes off to the africas cup of nations and Moutinho has had a slight knock and Fernandes is being rested ............. i can't brush off this wave of pesimism at that point. News reports today are a little more positive so i'm keep my fingers crossed that something comes off this weekend.
