  1. There was a story in one of the sunday rags last week about his Dad advising him to move to us! Even Papa M'bia (sounds like a smurf) wants this to happen.
  2. For me thats the most worrying thing. This is the perfect time for the board to come out and reassure fans that there isn't a problem, that we are moving in the direction or we're at least handling the situation ad it won't disturb the plans for this season but nothing. It's so confusing
  3. He's scored something daft like 7 in 2 games. I also read that Spurs have pulled out of the race to sign Milito which could possibly mean that Ramos will be happy with what he's got (i.e. Bent) and Arsharvin and/or Pavelychenko (fuck knows how you spell that one!!!).
  4. It's reported in the Sun ...... need we say more?
  5. I think he's spouting off after a poor perfomrance. I can't see how things would have changed so drastically. We were all getting excited yesterday now we're all doom and gloom, the joys of being a blue.
  6. Got a lump in my throat when i read his quotes on sky sports today about him being proud to be an everton player and how he loves the club.
  7. it's just rumours, Toffeeweb are reporting it for one, it's not been confirmed. I'll wait until it's official before eating my hat as i had previously promised.
  8. I think thats a bit harsh, Howard has been fantastic for us!
  9. I just read that Bully is on his way to meet the turks to hammer out a deal thought to be worth £6 million. I just read that he got his chance in the Gala first team after an injury to Tobias Linderoth!!!!
  10. I think new signings will happen, leaving a little late can sometimes drop the valuation. The likes of Cahill, Baines and Vaughan if fit will be like new signings as they missed so much of last season. With Baxter, Rodwell and Gosling we've got 3 young lads that can increase squad numbers and provide a some serious competition. The core of the team is going to be pretty much the same as last year so i'm not too concerned about them missing out on these friendlies. It would be fantasic to be able to go out and buy players at will but we're just don't have the capital to do it so i'm behind Moyes 100%, softly softly catchy shit hot players for fuck all the day before the window closes.
  11. I was reading updates from the PNE site last night (obviously slightly biased) and their 'commentator' had nothing but good to say about both Baxter and Shandy. Sounds good from our man from amsterdam! I believe Gosling played last ngiht as well, any reports on him?
  12. I'd still be happy to lose Johnson if a replacement was lined up. I just don't think he's good enough.
  13. cheers Romey, it's been a long day and it's only lunch time!!!!
  14. I can't see this transfer happening at all, i think Fernandes and Johnson are a lot more realistic in terms of targets. This lad has been linked with United, Barca, Chelsea etc etc so i can't see him leaving to come to us. Sporting Lisbon don't need to sell, they are playing in euorpe next season and there's a 16 million pound price tag on him which i can't see us meeting that for one player. I can see him staying on increasing his reputation further and then moving to one of the above for even more money either in january (chelsea will probably have a couple of injuries so will throw 20 million at the 'problem') or next summer. Whether i'd sooner see him Johnson is another question though as Moutinho is supposed to be fantastic. Can we have them both please?
  15. Or if AJ does go we use the money to bring in Bent. Agreed i'd be happy with that. Marcus of course
  16. I know it's a bit radical but what if we didn't go for a central pairing and went 3 5 2? Lescott Jags Yobo Baines playing left wing back Bring in a right wing back M'bia def mid Sell Johno and bring in a centre forward. Sorted. Done. Someone email Moyes.
  17. All sounds really positive apart from the fact that he would be another missing for the african cup of nations.
  18. We should have moved quicker for him ........... how many times have we said something along those lones?
  19. Ideally i'd like to see Yobo become a more accomplished RB (althoguth can't see it happening), Jags and Lescott CB and Baines LB. So in answer to the question Jags and Lescott. hardest decision he'll make for a while that one.
  20. Totally agree with you. Last season he proved to be one of the best CB's in the prem, solid and consistent in that position. if it ain't broke don't fix it, just bring in some to fill the def mid position.
  21. Read today that he is trying to buy out the remainder of his contract at Lille to secure a move to the blues. If this is true then i can't see any reason why we wouldn't land him. I'd take anyone who can play at right back to challenge Hibbert.
  22. Robbie Keane without doubt. Reckon Dawson could do a good job for most teams but i'm not sure he'd move Lescott, Yobo and/or Jags. And as far as Steed Malbranque goes no matter what the level of skill, composure and work rate a player has i couldn't possibly cheer on a man with plastic cock extension in his shorts. Keane it is then.
  23. Thats just ridiculous. Wonder how long he's got on his contract and if he is actually after a move away.
  24. where'd you hear that? Scrap that it's everywhere inc. united official site
