  1. assuming all those signed, could our first team for next year look something like this? -----------------Howard--------------------- Jagielka-----Lescott-----Yobo---------Valente ----------------Neville-------------------------- Arteta--------------------------------Richardson ----------------Cahill----------------------------- ------------Johnson-----Smith------------------- Bench: Turner, Carsley, Hibbert, Stubbs, Osman, Koumas Beattie, Vaughan
  2. got a vague recollection that he wasn't meant to come on in that game too. Rideout was injured by wanted to play on. Anyway, he came on and scored twice and then I think he scored twice in our next league game too (Newcastle maybe?) - apart from that he did NOTHING! still fond memories of him and Dunc wearing blue noses after the 95 final though
  3. in no particular order the ones that spring immediately to mind are: - Davies, Bakayoko, Nyarko, Kroldrup, Wright/Wrong
  4. i know we've got one on august 4th....against palace
  5. Diop would be a perfect signing for our squad right now for that price (in my opinion)
  6. i think he's a potential Van Der Meyde but for £2.5m he's probably worth the risk
  7. blackburn wouldn't sell mccarthy for beattie and 2 million!! wasn't he the top scorer in the premiership last year or thereabouts???
  8. We should get Big Dunc to play! http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/ever...tball-team.html so, here's a question. If you were putting together a basketball team of Everton players (current and ex) - who'd be in there? (this is pretty much a "who's massive", "who's quick"?) this thread may fall on its arse
  9. could be the closest premiership season ever! nothing it it!
  10. he'd score more than beattie. i don't think he's any good though...
  11. our current league position? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/e...ble/default.stm at least we're above the red shites
  12. have we had this kid on trial or something? it's weird, i got an update for Champ Man, and he's already in our reserves - but I got this update about six months ago!!
  13. just to end this, i emailed the ticket office (who replied in minutes!) apparently there's now an option on the site when you buy tickets to add another member's details in and book seats together. seems my cunning idea of booking in different stands might have been foiled!!
  14. so if you order online, can you request to book with two memberships? otherwise we might end up in different stands! which would give me 90 minutes peace i suppose....
  15. Hey folks, I'm thinking of getting the Evertonia membership this year but I dunno what to do....here's my problem Two years ago I got the membership and whenever I wanted tickets I could only get one ticket (unless they were general sale, in which case I don't see the point of the Evertonia membership!). anyway, problem is, I always go with the missus (she drives ) but I need to know whether if I get her a membership too whether we can book two tickets together for games? anyone else had this problem, or can anyone answer this?? cheers!
  16. they do have gay marriages in the UK now you know..... Eastergirl, is Faddy gay?
  17. Great thread this, and tough to answer! i'd go for (and i've only done my era since i haven't watched much toffee footie before the 80s) 1) Big Nev 2) Andre Kanchelskis 3) Anders Limpar 4) Big Dunc 5) Kevin Ratcliffe

  19. makes sense to us, but not to west ham since Beattie is sh*te!!
  20. harry redknapp turned down shevchenko when he was at west ham and shev was at dinamo kiev..... think he might also have turned down Batigoal....
  21. have never been able to make my mind up on him. like a few players that have come through our youth ranks i never think he looks entirely comfortable on the ball, and he's often too lightweight (spends half the game on the floor it seems!)
  22. bit disappointed, we played quite well for the first hour, but end product wasn't good enough. i agree with whoever it was that said vaughan puts himself about but lacks something....i can honestly say i never see him being a "star". from what i've seen of Victor, he's got much more about him than Vaughan. having said all that, i've just looked again at our remaining fixtures and i'm confident we'll get enough points for UEFA.
  23. yeah that's right. and as far as i understand it, there might be another place for fair play. but since we're 4th from bottom in that league, we'd have no chance of blagging it!! but, since it's intertoto for highest-placed team that's applied, assuming chelsea and manyoo get to the final of the FA Cup, the league could go as follows: - 1st to 4th - CL 5th to 7th - UEFA 8th - Intertoto
