  1. 15.14 Michael Johnson's future at Manchester City looks increasingly uncertain after talks over a new contract broke down, skysports.com understands. sounds interesting to me!
  2. Moutinho was the one player I thought we would sign this summer, and it's looking pretty dead in the water now innit.
  3. linked again http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/293092377?-11192
  4. i watched Birmingham the other day and I think it was him that I kept thinking was cack! BUT I do remember thinking he was good at some points last year....if we got him cheap I'd say yes, but nothing more than £3m probably
  5. i don't rate this fella particularly, but we've been linked with him. will post link when i find it again! edit: here it is http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/292948756?-11192
  6. have you got nothing better to do? anyway, this is a rumours thread, don't shoot the messenger. i didn't write the story. oh, and your link on the other thread doesn't work
  7. great point. that's true, you've got me there, you're not posting topics bout Thomas Hitzlsperger coming to everton.
  8. bit :gay: innit? this is a "rumours" thread after all

  10. not going over this again, but for £2m Smith improves our squad.......
  11. or maybe BK's given him a rowing boat? he literally might not be "with us" if he has to tackle the Atlantic!
  12. i just laughed a lot at this http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_3949633,00.html "Fulham was my first choice" yeah....
  13. not heard any rumours like this before, bloody hope it's not true...
  14. doesn't sound very much like he's joining to me! http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/292254249?-11192
  15. ...I find this type of thing annoying. Why would Irvine come out and say he'd love to sign this player, knowing full well we can't afford to lose him?! http://www.football365.com/story/0,17033,8...3948453,00.html
  16. i don't think anyone's saying he's the answer, i think all people are saying is that for £3m you won't get much better as a squad player...... sad fact of the modern game that in footballing terms you can't get anyone for £3m nowadays....so to buy a 27 year old who last year (rightly or wrongly) started for England alongside Owen for £3m would be a snip! he'll never be a 20-a-season player, but what he will provide is effective cover for the Yak, and probably effective cover for whoever we (hopefully) bring in as holding midfielder... lets just stay positive, i don't think he'll be our big transfer this summer, i hope he's one of two or three players (in addition to a Moutinho) that plug the gaps filled by other average-at-best players that have departed...
  17. didn't Smith start for England twice last year?
  18. think i said it a few days ago. i've never been his biggest fan - BUT - i do think his best position was always striker (back at Leeds he scored for fun!), and if he had an extended run just playing up front i think he'd be a decent player. and for £3m or less, bargain in today's market. plus he's always committed, passionate etc....so he's a Moyes player!
  19. Medical? today? http://www.shieldsgazette.com/nufc/Alan-Sm...-way.4368383.jp
  20. http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/292039610?-11192
  21. did we have a sell-on clause at all? just seen he's been linked with a move away from Brum (again) - to Blackburn this time...
