Difficult to repair the mess left by O'Neill, Houllier & McLeish although I was hoping Villa would go down (and Newcastle, too, for that matter) and continue to drop for the forseeable future. You don't think he's a hard nosed businessman because he chooses the right people to work for him, apart from at EFC. I do think he's a hard nosed businessman. That makes us quite the opposite, fortunately, and means another meaningless discussion can now gather pace. I also think he's a great leader but, newbie or not, I'm not going to attempt to explain myself again although the desire to be liked makes me feel quite the opposite.

Everton can confirm initial details of a glamorous pre-season tour to the USA. The Blues are in line to face three of the biggest names in football during the three-city tour, which takes place at the end of July and beginning of August.
