  1. I disagree with you. In the International Champions Cup Distin played well in the back. He made a few decent dribbles up past the half line in order to widen the pitch by spreading the ball to either side. Jags is just as capable of doing this "martinez style". Gibson and Hibbert are S.O.L.
  2. I'll be there. 10 rows back near corner
  3. Agreed. Sinclair showed a knack for flair and blazing speed on the wing for Swansea, but he went to City, where all young English talent goes to ride the pine...
  4. 27 goals in 27 games is a great goalscoring ratio...even for Austria
  5. We would never be able to afford Nani at his current wages (around 90,000 pounds/week). I was never fond on Anderson, but he impressed me with a few of his (rare) outings last season. I'd take him if the price and wages were low enough. We could use some depth in the midfield, that's for sure.
  6. There is no way we get over 10 million for an out-of-form Jelavic. 6-8 mill is more likely. At that price, I say hang on to him at least until next transfer window. Give him a chance to prove himself against Kone and Anichebe. We need to offload Heitinga because of his wages and lack of playing time (Duffy is a suitable back-up CB), and get rid of Naismith. Sorry naisy, but you have yet to show us anything worthwhile.
  7. I hope I am posting this in the correct area, but I am going to the International Champions Cup match in San Francisco in 2 weeks, and was wondering if the Everton supporters are sitting in any particular section of the ground? Sure as heck I don't want to sit near any Juventus fans. - Thanks in advance
  8. My fellow Evertonians, I have been following this forum for a few years, but until now had not registered. Now that I am here, I'd like to introduce myself. I grew up in New York, as an avid football (American variety) and baseball fan. I went to college in the beautiful state of Florida in 2007, where I became a proper football fan. My father is originally from London, and preferred cricket over rugby. That being said, the last time we were there was the summer of 2007. I had asked him to pick me up a kit from the local shop (anything other than Man Utd, as that was the only team I really knew back then). Lucky for me, he picked up an Everton kit, mainly because he and I supremely enjoy Chang beer. My first roommate at college is a die-hard Chelsea fan from Hong Kong, so once he saw my Everton kit, he got me into watching the games and supporting the team that I now support. I was surprised to find out that American keeper Timmy Howard was on Everton, but this certainly solidified my desire to support the Toffees. I have been to one Everton match, albeit a pre-season friendly, against DC United in the summer of 2011. It was a fantastic match that Everton won handily. Anyways, I am glad to finally be a part of this forum, and look forward to the upcoming season under Roberto Martinez, though David Moyes will be missed greatly.
