  1. Mori on a set piece!! Love that leaping salmon!
  2. On kitbag you can get retro kits. I got one from the 70's
  3. Welcome! I'm in New Orleans, don't think we have any other folks from the Carolinas on here, you're the first!
  4. Villa 11 for me with baines and clev doing some minutes later on in the match. Boro same 11 but baines starts and have clev Lennon mirallas naisy at the ready. Next match villa 11, it works let's keep using it till it doesn't.
  5. Good points I forgot about them. Even if all 3 go I still think we'd only need 1 brought in. Have Gerry Kone naisy Lennon Osman cleverley that can play on the wings, I'd rather us save the wages.
  6. If we are bringing anyone in I would think mirallas would need to leave. We have a big squad and its only wise to get something for him.
  7. We have a run of games that are completely winnable and would put us top 4. That's the optimism, we went through the the gauntlet unscathed and are ready to attack. Plus were in the quarter final of a cup with another cup still to come. Lot of positive in the horizon. For me it's all the youth and scouting. I'm blown away by Roberto and the scouting department. With moyes we had great scouts but now with actually playing youngsters regularly it's like we are a top destination for young talent. They want to come here. Transfers have been solid too. Gerry romelu Barry McCarthy Kone Mori etc
  8. Yes Martinez had a plan and both him and the scouting department are damn near best in England. some real bright young prospects.
  9. and they still have Champions League to play as well. Same with Arsenal (europa possibly) Man City Man U as well. Granted they have large squads and quality but the grind does usually result in off results now and then. I jsut don't think Chelsea have done the full turn around. If they get knocked out of CL i think that could really doom morale. Rooting hard for FC porto and Kiev
  10. spot on steve. i've never been to the ground but this is the creative re-building we need for the park. this would be the least expensive option (as opposed to a new park) and would allow us to stay at our "spiritual home" of goodison. plus it would bring in a good amount more revenue and make us more attractive for corporate sponsorship and investors. no brainer for me really, but the board is looking for freebie's and that's just not going to happen.
  11. http://www.espnfc.us/story/2727234/ever-banega-in-talks-over-new-sevilla-contract so either he really does want to stay at sevilla or they're putting in a sizeable buyout clause. neither of which are good for us.
  12. Agreed that this is the year to go for it. With Chelsea out its a spot open. But I agree with haf that Arsenal are vulnerable for they have tons of injuries and rely on Sanchez way too much. He will get exhausted just like last campaign.
  13. Tell that to Leicester. Shit team last year leading the league this year. One of the big boys misses out as well, don't you think that will have an effect as well?
  14. i'd like to see both go to europa and have to take that seriously to try and get CL. i could care less if we lose the spot, that will make the Europa spots in the cup matches more important for once.
  15. arse and chelski have won. they both face tough matches to get through. chelsea faces FC porto who they are level with at 10 points, meanwhile Kiev has an easy win and have 8 points, so if chelsea lose they could be in the europa. come on porto!! arse have olympiakos who they have to beat by 3+ goals to get CL otherwise it's europa.
  16. no and that's why i don't want a 10, ross is the 10 he's doing great. maybe next year if barry looks like shit but he's great, if anyone is to be dropped it's mccarthy but Bob's favorite player wont so thats why i want the centre mids to stay the same. strengthen at striker gk and rb.
  17. yeah go figure. after this shitshow let's hope BK does the right thing and fires him.
  18. just finished the first (and only so far) season. really great show. for those that don't know, it's based on a book written in 1962 basically what would happen if the Axis of Evil had won WWII.
  19. called elstone's bluff. everton with pie on the face. FFS what a joke. steve0 i'm with you. don't build a new stadium just improve the one we have. one thing at a time, park end, then corporate, surely we can fund that through our usual players sales and the like since our board is worthless.
  20. Second most assist in league last year or the year before. How is that not quality?
  21. Great points Steve. The only light i can shed is that you live in America as do I. The English have a different view on stadiums. I've had a few discussions on here and done some reading online and fiscally local governments in the UK are very very conservative, so investing in a stadium even though it will bring revenue and jobs to the city and could spur growth are not things they are interested in. Baffling to you and I where here in America cities are shelling out millions at the tax payers expense (300m+) to build stadiums to spur the city, in the UK they see if differently. No use trying to reason with them when their mind is made up. Your points bring to light that foreign investment (big or small) with a new CEO could help make some positive changes for the club.
  22. matt although i agree to some extent, i don't want a 10. RM will never drop mccarthy or barry, he loves them like they are his children. and i want barkley on the pitch and not on the flank. so for me keep ross/tom as the 10, and put efforts to strengthen elsewhere. GK would be a start, RB and Striker other places.
  23. Had nothing to do with brain fart Distin all those years Pete. All baines fault. No way bud. Can't and won't buy that.
  24. Agreed. And Gerry is creating from the right. Need another striker, rb, GK.
