So glad we got the 3 points. I have been really impressed with the way Roberto manages and handles the subs. Nice to see delafeu get a little time too.
-
Tim Howard.
-
Aston Villa 1 - 2 Everton
Lukaku
-
i think we can get 3 points here. benteke is a beast, but their midfield and defense are average. i hope we attack them and keep them on their heels. we need to win these games to keep pace with the top clubs.
i really hope pienaar can start, i'd love to see
howard
coleman jags distin baines
mccarthy barry
mirallas barkley pienaar
lukaku
-
McCarthy, he passed and defended well and helped get the ball forward.
-
Everton 2 - 0 Hull City
Barkley
-
yeah great point, i wouldn't be surprised if that's what mou was doing. mind games are his specialty.
-
great, barry and gerrard are telling him to stay which is good. love the first comment on that article, where the guys says "yeah tell barkley to look at jack rodwell".
-
Id ve happy with that if Pienaar is 100% fit.
i will be as well. i took him for granted i admit, and will be glad to have him back on the pitch.
-
Why is he 3rd string Mark?
We need a squad, and over 38 league games plus extras he'll get his share of game time. He's far too good to simply disregard. An arm around the shoulder and some confidence building words can often be key to a players performance.
We've given him arms around the shoulder all last season and for a couple games this season to no avail. He's behind Lukaku and Kone in the depth chart, so he's 3rd choice. Some would argue with Mirallas he's actually 4th choice. He's worth some money but it's just wasting away on the bench. Better to transfer him out and gain some money then just have him waste away on the bench not scoring goals and passing horribly in a style that doesn't suit him.
Why is everyone so sentimental about him? Who cares if he scored some when he started, he isn't now and that's all that matters.
-
yes please sell jelavic in january. he's 3rd string now, and too expensive to be there.
-
Liverpool and United at home.
yep get's my vote as well. if roberto can beat moyes and the shite, that would be something else.
-
its our next league game none the less... so lets get ready for it. A win and nothing less for me. We miss pienaar, Baines has been so far very reluctant to bomb on and we haven't seen much of him.
with the international break, do you think pienaar will be match fit for hull?
-
hull looks good this year and is only a point off us. but it's a home match so that should help. i'm hoping for a win but will settle for a draw. i'd really like to see pienaar back on the left, hopefully he'll have used the international break to recover. and i'd like to see jags find some testes somewhere, he needs to man up.
-
It's all well and good Baines knocking in 2 freekicks, but in the other matches this season he's been quiet. His head seems to be elsewhere.
yeah i was thinking the same thing. i think he'll be off in january, RM probably didn't want to lose 2 big players at once, which is a smart move. i think we need a better replacement than oviedo and should use the proceeds for that and some more depth in the midfield. we can use the fellaini money for a striker.
-
also we need youth. players 29 and older are baines, jags, distin, alcaraz, howard, hibbert, gibson, osman, barry, and pienaar. so although we're a strong squad, we need to replace all those people with better younger players. granted we have stones, barkley, joel, mccarthy, coleman, and oviedo, but that's not a whole squad.
so i'd say youth and depth.
-
sunderland's pressing is really stifling united, great game so far
-
terrible match, i thought howard and the defense were suspect, and our midfield could not keep possession and get the ball in the final third enough. Ref was shite but we were as well. hopefully the break gives some guys some rest and we can get it back together for Hull at home.
-
new nickname for naisy, the enforcer. i wish jags would toss around some fellas like that and boss em up a little bit
-
Mate that wad almost a great save, he was just unlucky with the bounce, give the bloke some credit!
i do, i'm an american and love the guy but in both club and international duty this year he's looked real shaky
-
damit howard, that's 3 goals he could have had and let it, i'm all for the american but this is shite
-
what a crock of shite, this ref is being paid off
-
I'd keep naisy on, he looks a lot more threatening than Mirallas. The only problem with Gerard is City have very offensive fullbacks; is he strong enough defensively?
great point, it will be interesting to see what roberto does.

if we could get him for a decent fee i'd be all for it. he's 25 and helped them win the europa cup, but since diego is playing so well now and with david villa there he isn't getting the minutes.
