Makes me laugh, we have 2 players up front (lukaku and miralles) who think they should be at a top club, and we can't score for shit! I would go for broke like Southampton and sell most of them and start again for the money we could get for them. We could get £120m for 5 or 6 of our players and build again. Stones is the only player I would not let go for any price.

Well, if offers are around £3m-£7m as quoted in January, would be better off keeping him until end of contract and lose him for nothing. The club should decide if we want to sell, not the player.

I still expect us to sign konoplyanka on a pre-contract and sort a small fee last minute like McGeady last year. If he makes it known he really wants a winger now, it kind of makes it harder to force a deal like this.

I thought McCarthy was unlikely to play. Besic has been our best player recently and was only out due to sickness. He would be first on the team sheet for me. Shows that he want it so much, which has to rub off on the rest of them. Some of those tackles alone can give the whole team a lift.

This is my point. Why does Barkley deserve another run after that half arsed performance against stoke? Its more down to the way Barkley and Besic played together previously which makes me use them 2 in the midfield. I personally think Barkley is better in that position in the style we play. Other option is Barry, but it maybe that he plays in central defence as he did in Europa due to the injuries. If we play Barry centre midfield and he picks up an injury, we are really going to struggle with defence backups for the next few games. Barry can do a job in defence if needed and until we get some players back in that position it would be a risk using him elsewhere.

I think there is no chance of us getting relegated. I think there is a good chance of us winning Europa. My problem is, with Martinez in charge, if we don't win Europa this year, we will never qualify again with him in charge.

I see how strong our team is out there and we still have Barkley, Eto, Oviedo, Distin, Gibson, Atsu, Peanuts, Osman, Kone, Besic not in the team and each of them would be a main player in any of the lowest 12 teams in Premiership. If we can cut out mistakes, we could really make history over next couple of years if they are all kept together. Just over a year ago I was looking at Guaye, Amakachi, Gosling on our bench. How things have changed, and it didn't cost that much really. If this change had happened the year we came 4th, we would already be up there by now. We are up for this. After 1st goal, when goalie went of for a few minutes, we took the ball and kept passing (almost as if training) while the game had stopped. Love it.

He's a playmaker, and I would prefer someone in AM who can also be first line of defence as well. Definitely could play in that position and a steal.

Need to buy a replacement, was short in that position and now its going to be a problem before a ball kicked. Need someone like Benega for around the £6m mark.

I still expect one player from Barcelona to be loaned in the window. I would have thought we would have had it by now, so, maybe Martinez has been waiting to see if Deulofeu become available before choosing someone else.

Perfect player for us. Played for Barcelona in a similar style to us, just for that reason he will be an asset to our squad. Not the player to take us forward, but perfect for others to learn from for the short term. If Utd or someone willing to pay £25m for McCarthy then we should buy Song and use the rest for an attacking midfielder like Kagawa or another top striker. We would have a better team overall. Would prefer them all but I believe we would have to sell now to improve the team significantly as most of our cash must be gone.

Europa best way by a long way. Get straight to group stages in Champions League with UEFA coefficients points (you will get a lot for winning Europa) to add to our seeding when group draws are made. 4th place is not guaranteed even to get into the qualifying rounds.

Cant do this deal if a January recall if not played enough games in the contract. Can you imagine Chelsea not using it as an excuse to recall if we are right on their tails come January!
