1891-95 is red
-
Played in blue and white stripes as St Domingo's, then the first Everton "black watch" shirt actually had a red diagonal stripe on it, not pink. The pink (and white) came the following season, and then reappeared as a slightly different design in 1886/87.

That historical kit link is brilliant. I've never seen that before <doffs cap in appreciation>

All that says is that he is expected to training camp on 30th July and no Transfer has been arranged (the dutch one anyway)
-
From what I can see, he hasn't been given one. There's a list of new squad numbers , Costa is in there . No numbers for Lukaku, Coutois and Moses.
-
Chelsea announce their squad numbers today. Be interesting to see if Lukaku gets one. He probably will and it'll mean nothing anyway but it will tell us that no deal is done yet at least
-
We were saint Domingo at first we played in salmon pink and blacki get that everton's historical colors are blue, yellow, white and black. where does the pink come from? the local lord's wife or something?

I'm guessing hes come to that conclusion as he misses about 8-10 a season most seasons.
That is taken on average after him missing virtually a whole season. He could also go right through without missing a single game. Nobody can predict a players injuries like that. What's stopping him going all season and having a stormer.
-
So basically the chances are he's shit then.
-
This is all well and fine, but it still doesn't take away from the point that Jagielka is bound to miss 8-10 games. So maybe he's not particularly more injury prone than many other CBs, but he still is prone in the sense that he's inevitably going to miss some games.
Add to that, let's say, 6-8 starts that Distin might miss (and that could be conservative). Then let's say Coleman fatigue/injury will force Stones into 2-3 starts at RB. I think we're looking at about 17-22 starts for Stones in the EPL, plus League and FA Cups as well as Euro and he's bound to get 25-29 starts plus a handful of appearances off the bench and maybe a few call-ups to the U21s or even the national team. For me, that's a perfectly acceptable workload for a 20-year-old defender.
How is he "bound" to miss 8-10 games? I don't understand how you come to that conclusion?
-
Fuck England. Everton first for me.
Best thing I've read on this board so far!!!
I couldn't care if England never won another match EVER!! As long as we were ok. I hate our players playing internationals . Keep them here wrapped up safe to play for us!!!

Stones gives it away and Tranmere goal. Tied 1-1
Tied??? You mean it's 1-1?
-
GAAAAY
It was meant tongue in cheek but if you want me to wink in your general direction that's ok to big boy

I suspect that this is the gentlest of jibes at me, for my, um, lengthy disquisitions in posts above. If so, I accept the good humor at my expense, as (1) it's humorous, and (2) I deserve it. So I'm laughing with you and at me.
Still, I got a lot more to say about our lads. But I will refrain just now, expecting some constructive criticism of my analysis. Maybe after the Tranmere match.......
Noooo!! It wasn't a jibe at you, your post was fantastic and I honestly mean that it was just scouse humour it's how we are and it was not meant as derogatory or to make you look silly so please believe me when I say that, it's just me being a divi, like I said it's what we do in Liverpool.
I do genuinely follow the Dolphins though
-
What about the Dolphins though?
-
Well fucky me, we're commentary on ssn (like its soccer saturday)
-
Haha iI love the way you try and explain again in your second sentsentence, like you were speaking a foreign language at first.
I never realised I did. I guess I'm just trying to ram my point home, or I just like to prattle on and like the sound of my own posts
-
No, he's just shit.
-
No Kone? Is he fasting again?
-
Oh yes it does!
-
-
I support the Miami Dolphins. Don't diss the Dolphins Aight !
Oh and welcome. I'm new too but I'm a post whore so best ignore me.

"It doesn't mean the player will always work out, but he has to have talent and potential if Everton, Arsenal, and Manchester United are all checking in on him."
Writing it in bold or capitals doesn't make you right you know or make anyone listen more. Just saying like :whistles:

That's a fake account apparently?? I have no idea but it's getting branded a fake elsewhere.
-
Ah, wasn't saying he WAS injury prone. Just saying that he's had a few lengthy spells with things. He plays through them though, usually (probably not a great idea, but at least he wants to earn his paycheck).
Ah with you now. Sorry mate misunderstood whst you mesnt so apologies.
