  1. Disagree completely. Firstly, if Boney wants a move which we all know he does, you wouldn't need a stupid offer but a tempting offer. So long as they make profit, he will call the shots with a transfer request. Secondly, Remy was set for a fee of £8.5 mil. Whether it be CL team or not he faltered on a medical, or so to speak, this means his value automatically declines as most would not touch him with a shitty stick. Like what happened with ba when supposedly going to stoke and failed a medical.

Ok so just Bony alone then.. 16 mil paid they've sold Michu as well remember they'll want 25 minimum. 25 for a 27 year old who could do a Jelavic and flop second season with no sell on value at all who priced Liverpool out of a potential bid or Lukaku, proven over 2 season played here knows the club and with the potential to bring in a huge profit in years to come. Bony equals dead money and higher wages than Lukaku.

Why you would even consider Remy a mercenary trouble causer who has failed a medical and would want in excess of 80k a week is beyond me to be honest but each to their own.

  2. Everyone say Bony and Remy. For starters, Swansea have said only a stupid offer would temp them. They paid 16 (ii think ) for him, so that means 30 to tempt him. A kopite friend of mine who is quite well informed told me Liverpool baulked at his demands and they pay a lot higher wages than us. Remy will want 100k plus he's apparently on 80k a week at qpr and his transfer would be a lot more than 8.5 million to us a we're not a cl team so that's around 40-45 million in transfer fees and over 200k a week in wages.

We can't afford that it's as simple as that we'll be lucky to get Lukaku bought never mind that amount on 2 strikers.

  3. Monday: Buy him not matter what the price. We can't afford to miss out. Stop dithering, just buy him.

Tuesday: A price of 24m is must too steep. He's not worth more than 20m. Get the best deal for him.

Which way will the wind be blowing on Wednesday?

Mine has never changed. Buy him no matter what. I'm convinced this is going to be a massive coup for us. Some of the prices being paid are utterly ridiculous. Mccormack from Leeds 11 million?? 25 for Lukaku is daylight robbery on our behalf. His sell on potential alone is worth the gamble and that 's before you take into account his goals

  4. I honestly cannot see how anyone can say anything new on this at the moment.

I'm reading the same stuff over and over.

Come on guys...its time to get back in touch with your families xx

 I'd hAd a few beers yesterday and got halfway through a post saying I wasn't responding to this thread again as it was the same shit going round and no one was any the wiser! I hit the wrong button and wiped it and couldn't be arsed writing it again.

  5. I don't get the negativity here. The club have just announced to great fanfare one of England's best and most wanted youngsters, making a show to prove a point; we are a big club with the best up and coming players who then make a statement to the world saying how it's a dream to play for Everton. It's very clever and justified PR, for a change....

I don't agree Matt, I think it's slightly cringeworthy. Do you see United, City, Chelsea (or most cluns for that matter) announce deals like this? It makes us look small and lacks class .

This of course is just my opinion, if it floats your boat then thats all well and good but it could have just broke on the os and then been discussed at the next scheduled press conference with Ross at his side saying all the good things he did.

To me that would have been the way to go about it. Sort of like yes one of the brightest talents in the country has signed for us and why wouldn't he, we're one of the biggest clubs in the country, done the press conference with other stuff on the agenda and moved on.

  6.

They missed out on the final day of the season I think. Europa League, just like us. But they might have a better chance of getting there in the future than we do. The Champions League spots in Bundesliga are pretty wide-open and Wolfsburg aren't afraid to spend a lot of money.

True enough but for this season the can't offer it and there's no guarantee they can in future.

Saying that I still don't think he'll sign for us.

  7. costa, torres, drogba, chelsea will be fine. they used shurrle in a false 9 last season as well. no one is willing to pay torres wages and roman doesn't want to take a 10m loss on him, so he will stay. atletico is the only ones interested in him and they don't have a lot of money.

rom will be sold, especially since chelsea is committed to FFP (which i applaud). Wolfsburg can offer champions league, so can Liverpool. I don't see him going to Liverpool though cause Mou sees them as a direct threat, we are less of a threat in his mind i gather. I don't see him going to spurs because who would want to? chaotic, new manager every half season, and they have addebayor, soldado and harry kane. So really for me it's Wolfsburg with his bud De Bruyne or Everton with whom he played last season.

Wolfsburg aren't in the cl are they?

  8.

If he's got two years left on his contract and is on £50,000 a week (which he must be I'd have thought) that's an extra £5m+ on top of the transfer fee. We could get another player for that.

Yes we could but if we miss out on him can we get another striker who is as young as he is with a proven goal scoring record in the prem and with such a great sell on potential? Can we afford to let this go?

  9. Just been reliably told that the hold up is that Lukaku is waiting to be told by Chelsea that he can leave. He doesn't want to ask to leave because then he doesn't get his contract paid up!

We should pay it up for him. He's got less than 2 years on his Chelsea contract and he's not on massive wages . Ring him tell him we believe in him and want him that much that we're buying his contract out and. We want him to be part of the fabric here.. Spend the money, go the extra yard for him, feed his ego, who's arsed about all that shite... Just go out and smash 20 plus a season for the next 4 seasons then we'll re assess the situation.

Lets be aggressive just for fucking once!!!!!

  10.

Holding your hands up and taking the hit precludes you from the "absolute wanker" category ; the people who really have a problem are those that can't laugh at themselves.

Had too many "senior moments" on here to count but the advantage of being the wrong side of fifty is that you can play the age card B).

If you can't laugh at yourself then whats the point? You shouldn't laugh at others if you can't laugh at yourself either and when you've made a schoolboy error like I did what else can you do other than hold your hands up and call yourself the dickhead you have quite blatantly been !!

  11. Rom created incredible memories well never forget and enjoyed his time at Everton - but that doesnt mean anything between now and the end of the window.

Everything is in the air and you can imagine there are options on the table.

We will carry on working hard to assemble the strongest squad possible.

"We need to make the right decisions between now and the end of the window.

Quote from Martinez. The last paragraph in particular sounds to me like buying him could be a bit too rich for us and would break the bank hence we "have to make the right decisions"

I've never been convinced we would sign him to be honest and I'm totally convinced now after reading Martinez comments that we wont sign him. I think we've been trying to manoeuvre a loan deal all along. Just my opinion and hope I'm wrong like but I don't think I am.

I also think that vid on youtube he's misheard him and thought he's been talking about Besic, again just an opinion.

One final thing on this. It fucking irks the life out of me why every transfer we seem to do or want to do turns into a saga. It doesn't matter who it is or how it happens there is always a fucking saga to it. I guarantee if it was Liverpool, United, Chelsea etc this would have been done weeks ago. Our dealings in transfers are nothing short of a joke it's fucking pathetic it really is and it infuriates me. This saga has been running too long. Just put the fucking money up and sign him. Just do it!!!!!!

    Rant ober

  12.

You'd have got away with it if it hadn't been for that pesky dunc! Not even our Belgian's picked you up on it. I noticed it but thought you meant Belgish Guilders .

I have no idea what possessed me to put the Dutch theme to it, I really don't. Alls I can do is hold my hands up and call myself an absolute wanker. I'm pretty sure I half remember typing it and being made up with myself chuckling at my own joke though which makes me an even bigger wanker now .

Everyone knows Anderlecht are from Turkey, right! ;)

  13.

Lukaku is good enough for Chelsea though......A player who has had 2 full seasons in the premier league to score 19 and 15 goals is a good return. At Chelsea he will be getting better deliveries from the likes of Hazard, Oscar, Willian and Fabregas but for some reason Jose won't give him a chance. Maybe he doesn't fit into Chelsea's defending style of play.

Apparently he's done something to upset Abramovic who has vowed he wont kick a ball for Chelsea again. His agent has tried for over a year to smooth it over but he wont budge. That's what I've heard anyway.

Makes sense if it 's true like.
