  1.

    This part is particularly interesting:

'It was only then that I noticed that Leicester City had already slipped in - and the waiting masses hardly made a sound.

I dont think many of the Thai people could tell Nigel Pearson from Nigel Slater and the players, well they could have been anybody.

It was the Toffees, not the Foxes, that were the main event.'

I'm a Leicester fan and our media has been trying to make out the opposite. Been seeing massive crowds of people wearing 'WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE' shirts both for this match and for our Thailand trip a few weeks ago, players opening new team stores and of course the entire event being organised because of our owners. I would expect Everton to have more of a following but it's strange how your media's blocking out any interest in our team over there and ours is doing the same for Everton.

They do it to try and champion the local team and to get the local fans (in Liverpool not Thailand ) reading mate. I wouldn't look or be too insulted by it. I'm sure the local media etc knew exactly who the Leicester team were and vice versa.

    Typical media bullshit.

  2. I think a lot of you forget how inaffective he was when coming back from injury last season. If he didn't score he didn't contribute.

I'm really not bothered either way so long as we sign a main striker.

He's 21 and a typical striker, bone idle at times. With the right coaching and guidance he has the potential to be as good as Drogba. If (and it's a big if at the minute) he even gets nearly as good as him he will not only score goals he'll be a sound investment by the club.

  3. The thing is Mark his world cup performances did him no favours nor Chelsea so in today's daft market he's reasonably priced

If he stays at Chelsea or goes elsewhere and performs well and scores as many or more than he did here his price will likely go beyond our reach, it could go completely the other way but the chances are with how well he's done in his two previous lon spells is unlikely

For me it's either now or never

Couldn't agree more. Absolutely spot on this.

  4. I think a lot of people are going to be pleasantly surprised with Besic come the end of the season. By that time I think our fans will be seeing him as a bargain.

I said similar things about McCarthy last summer when there was a lot of people worried about that signing. And Besic is costing us a lot less and he'll have more of a a chance to grow into the side because of Barry, whereas McCarthy was going to be thrown in at the deep end.

I've been as worried (or whatever) and frustrated as most but I feel confident his will work out very well for us. Besic and McCarthy will be a cracking partnership once it gets it's chance. It'll be the superglue that keeps everything else working.

I have to admit I was crying like fuck over the Mcarthey signing, 14 million, 14 FUCKING MILLION I was shouting.

I can honestly say I'm delighted I was proved wrong. Thats always a win win for me like that. I moan over a player he succeeds the team benefit which pleases me no end, he flops I 'm right. I much prefer the former though.
