  1. And that's an instant tactical impact we haven't seen for a long time!!! Well done Carlo, COYB!!!
  2. Should change the formation with 3 at the back. Bernard is lovely, but I would sub him for Kean so we have 3 up front with digne and sidibe bombing the wings for crosses. Can't see other way to break that defense.
  3. I didn't wanted him, but now he's here, I'll support him of course. Just putting the facts straight as to why he rarely goes beyond two seasons with any club.
  4. Not trying to sound negative here. Ancellotti always signs a long contract and gets sacked halfway through it. Fun fact! He was sacked by Chelsea two hours after we beat them 1-0 on 22 May 2011.
  5. Because he's just as inexperienced at rebuilding a team as Arteta. Plus Arsenal are obviously looking for long term solution, and Ancellotti doesn't fit that criteria. I'm probably one of few, who's not exited about the Italian, despite his cabinet full of throphies. I don't think he's cut for this job and I hope I'm wrong.
  6. I'm not an expert but I feel this was a goal regardless if there was that contact. He strikes it with his outside left and the ball would spin in the same direction.
  7. 29, poor injury record, already slow, massive salary. Real are trying to get rid of him for so long. 2 year loan at Bayern and they sent him back. Only was good on the WC 2014 and the following season with Real. Not thrilled at all with this one.
  8. He said his reasons and it was the right decision. Pretty standard last minute sub to waste time. You don't wanna mess with your defenders and midfielders while they are doing OK. He picks the one who has least impact on our defence and changes him with quck, physically strong forward who will put more pressure on Utd backline and may force them to clear the ball long, which in turn is easier to recycle.
  9. Calm down, Kean was subbed off to waste time. I would do the same.
  10. I genuinely don't think he's great tactician, nor great developer like Pochettino for example. Perhaps he's good motivator and knows how to play on his streghts. Yeah Zidane has won 3 CL titles, do you believe he's a top manager? I don't. Di Matteo has won it once, where is he now? In my opinion Ancelotti is a good driver, who given a fast car just goes and wins the race. Ultimately if given a bad car, he won't excel. Fortunately for him he never drove a bad car, just a sub-par one recently and he didn't deliver. But of course, this is just my opinion.
  11. The reason I'm against Ancelotti's appointment is first because he's a nomad. He changes clubs every two seasons and I'm fed up with managerial changes. I wish we find someone who's gonna be successful and will build a platform for future development here, and that's unlikely to be done in couple of seasons. Second, Carlo is a lucky bastard. Yeah, he won plenty, but he only manages teams that are at the top of their game. The only team that somewhat differs from that criteria is Napoli, who just fired him because of bad results. I fear Everton will prove difficult job for him right now.
  12. We rather leave Dunc in charge until the end of the season and then check reality again.
  13. Тhat's a spirit! We need one like him on the pitch.
  14. Yep we talked about this. Arsenal has problems, but he got them 5th last season, just 2 points behind the third and he got them to Uefa league final. They were 22 games unbeaten with 11 straight wins at some point, which was spectacular. isn't that enough? Sure, but it's not bad at all for his first season in the Premier League and definitely an improvement to Arsenal's previous season. Look at Klopp first season, he did worse. Arsenal did not fixed their defensive issues which is not a fault on his own. I'm surprised they didn't realise their issues and put the blame on him. Knowing what he did with his spell at Sevilla, I am certain he can do it with us. If we give him the chance and with a little patience from our side, I'm sure we'll be flying higher than our current ambitions in three seasons time. I was cheering for Benitez becoming our next manager, because I never in my mind thought that Arsenal will be that stupid to sack Emery so early. Now with him available, and with the possibility of him signing for us, it's a no-brainer opportunity. We should be doing everything possible to land him here.
  15. Not a fan of Anchelotti, hope he goes to Arsenal and we get Emery.
  16. Sevilla has never been a top club. The man has won Europa League and still managed to finish in a respectable position within the league in a very long season and then he did it again and again. Bear in mind Europa League has two more matches to be played before reaching the final compared to CL. It's exhausing as fuck and unless you got two world class players on each position, as Barcelona and Real do, its absolutely impossible to compete for multiple silverware on domestic and continental stage. Sevilla never had the potential to break the top 3, and what he did is the bare maximum that could be delivered. As for PSG, he won everything that could be won in France in these two seasons he was in charge, except of course the league title he lost once.
  17. I'm a fan of Emery. He won three consecutive Uefa League titles, even got Arsenal on the finals too. That surely means a thing, he knows his stuff. Arsenal were impatient with him IMO. They certainly need improved defence.
  18. Vitor Pereira? - Shanghai SIPG. Only finished 3rd with the likes of Oscar, Hulk, Arnautovic, Dario Conca and experienced Ricardo Carvalho in his squad. Couple of seasons before he relegated TSV1860 from German 2nd tier. I don't know what our management saw in him. The Aussie manages Yokohama Marinos, the champions of Japan. But they are part of the City Football Group, so that is expeted from them.
  19. That Vitor Pereira has even worse record than SIlva, wtf I hope these rumours aren't true. Just read his profile on Wiki, it's VERY BAD!!! I would rather have Moyes back...
  20. I just hope this is the first of many similar performances until the end of the season. Even in the games we lose points, if we show the same spirit and determination, I'll be happy to cheer for Everton again.
  21. It would be wise to give DF a few matches, either way we don't have too many options right now. If he comes good, then leave him until the end of the season and then reassess our options. They are a new generation Allardyce and Pulis. Great for relegation fodders, but not good for clubs with ambition to win things.
  22. Gana is not a immense. We got a good fee for him. The problem is we didn't find a suitable replacement, or perhaps we did, but he got injured. Either way I think it was a decent deal for both parties involved.
