I don't believe finances play any part in his decision. He's under a contract and it's an agreement between the two clubs how his wages will be paid out, but at the end he will get what's in his contract, no more no less. Thinking about it, he's not going to set the Championship on fire. Sure, but he missed most games this season and haven't touched a ball for 2 months, currently is still injured AFAIK. 29 years old this summer, won't come cheap and will demand a massive salary. On top of that he has no premier league experience. Would be a huge gamble and I don't think he's worth the risk.

I must agree Sidibe is not very solid as a defender, but he's immense going forward. His crossing ability is one of the best in our squad and today he proved that he's very creative outlet out wide. While his chemistry with Walcott wasn't great he made some very exiting passes going through a bunch of Newcastle players into space behind them, only if Walcott could read his intentions quicker. Perhaps he'll be more successful as a so-called wing back in a formation with 3 defenders where he'll get more help from our defenders, as seen against Burnley with Coleman at his back. Definitely want him to stay at Everton.

He's way too static and his reactions are very slow. One can clearly see the difference between him and Holgate. The latter chases and challenges for the ball all the time, while Keane never do so if the ball isn't within 2 meter radius of his presence. A few header clearances made up for his overall poor display and thank God we were lucky to not suffer from his torpid display once again.

For me, our priority should be a central defender. We currently have only 3 which is a worry. Keane is not good enough, Holgate shows potential, but I would like someone more established to take the place alongside Mina. Next in line should be a central midfielder. Unfortunately with the injuries of Gomes and Gbamin we're cut short in that area until the end of the season. That should be enough for now. We rather not sign too many new faces, unless we shift some of the dead wood, but that's unlikely to happen.
