For me he was hot and cold, he kept Mina out of the team due to Mina’s injuries for the most and Silva’s poor selection, because for me Mina as proved himself far better than Zouma and much more consistent which is so important. And I believe as we move forward with Ancelotti he will be looking for us to play out from the back more and more all his teams have played that way.

I agree, and I think Ancelotti was holding something back for the City game, he knows if we can go there and get a result the message it will send to the rest of the footballing world would be massive in his quest to attract better players, well it wouldn’t hurt.

Well for there best CH he’s made a catalog of mistakes this season in the games I’ve seen which were mainly down to lack of ball control his first touch in a team that wants to play out from the back isn’t good enough.

I’ve always praised his work rate and fight and always criticised his poor finishing and goals return, he may have turned the corner on the last 2 comments I hope he has only time will tell. But I will always maintain a striker will be judged on his goals, and we have this season been the worse team for goals scored from chances created, and that leads me to believe that if we had a better finisher we would probably have the league’s top scorer to date this season. I still want Ancelotti to bring that player in to make sure more of our chances are converted, because it’s the regular scoring of goals that wins you games not the most chances.

He started poorly and only due to a bad finish we were lucky not to have gone 1-0 down after 5 minutes, he was completely out fought by Carroll, and Holgate was constantly having to clean up for him.

Or was he, Keane was supposedly good last season look at him now, for me they looked like they were solid mainly because Silva constantly played 2 defensive MF’s given them a lot of protection.

We could have Zouma because I think he’s going to be surplus to requirements and Chelsea mainly because he isn’t good enough, which is why I wouldn’t want him back here, we can do a lot better than him.

That’s spot on just look at how many players get mentioned in our transfer thread that we don’t even make an approach for. Then what would seem out of the blue we buy someone that no one had a clue about in a position we didn’t feel we we’re looking for, I think that happen because we’ve kept our cards close to our chest without alerting others of our plans.

I think we were more scared of December with father Silva, well some where more than others anyway.
