  1. Maybe I'm being harsh on lukaku but ffs, players were pushing up, they countered. There is risk/reward it was daft It's all very well saying how many players were behind him, it was a stupid decision! We keep the ball they can't score. I'm aware enough of the responsibility of forward play, that was fuckin daft at that stage of the game. Hold it up, give and go, play it wide.... The man was touch tight and he heeled it. Too many people look at things like "defender could have cleared it... Such and such could have tackled". It started with that and was needless.
  2. Who all pushed up behind him. It was a shite wreckless and needless decision. It was a momentum changer.
  3. The second he did it I screamed, we had less than 10 minutes left and he was marked and heeled it?! It was fucking stupid, while passage of play turned on its head and they scored.
  4. Lukaku has been well,,, lukaku. That backheel was stupidity, ffs imagine Kone doing that? He'd get shot.
  5. Is it me doing a lukaku hate but that passage of play started after his daft backheel.
  6. No I agree with aiden, lukaku hasn't done much wrong, he's been ok, just want more from him. Smarter movement.
  7. Anyone who fails to appreciate the player naismith is after this performance so far needs to give their head a wobble. He is excellent at finding space in tight areas, his finish before was class, ball behind, leaning back and got it on target.
  8. It has got better, I would like to see him take it on the half turn more though. He's very tentative to face up but it's improved a lot.
  9. Tremendous finish, great pass by Rom, brilliant play by peanuts. That finish was class, ball was behind him.
  10. Think I'm a minute behind you lot.
  11. Mcgeady it was pad, but yeah, leaned back.
  12. Lukaku needs to make more movement
  13. Even if he was in goal the keeper wouldn't have got that
  14. Vodafone are very good. Looking to get 4G, but waiting till it's unlimited data and cheaper. What's coverage like now?
  15. I would like to see this thread lively when the lad isn't being judged on glimpses at Wigan and less than 90 minutes for Everton. Stats suggest this lad is better than his battered for no good reason reputation. For every overrated fan favourite who has plied his trade at a club giving him an elevated status, there has to be some poor sod who hasn't had a fair crack of the whip who's doomed before he starts.
  16. Simon Jordan isn't chairman anymore though? As much as I dislike Moyes, Jordan is an idiot.
  17. who off Ten? apparently 8 weeks being bandied around etc, how would they know already???
  18. This lad is gonna do a few Don Hutchisons and the fans will love it. I remember Don when he was our clear and away best midfielder - he put in some absolute cerunching tackles, you heard the echo around Goodison and seen the opponent wilt, Don then got up and strode off with the ball. I resented the board for the way he was treated and sold off when they offered him a poxy new deal. With McCarthy we will have two of the most tenacious midlfielders in the prem - proper steel. Lets just hope we are able to "influence" the referees in a way that means they wont be dishing cards out left right and centre.
  19. Guillem Balague is the king of ITK. I do have a downer on Moyes, but I do think that the transfer ditherings especially last season was a big factor.
  20. Guillem Balague - the main man in Spanish Football. There was no negotiations - it was a buy out clause plain and simple - "You want the player its €36m - contractually we have to sell for that". Woodward was Chief Exec and yes a negotiator - not director of football. Moyes had a straight forward option - "do you want to buy Herrera for €36m? that is his release clause". He said no and spent €36m on Fellaini instead. Under the same Chief Exec Van Gaal sanctioned the €36m bid.
  21. I'm finding this a strange thread I really am. Anichebe wanted first team football, he wasn't good enough for this and used to sulk and moan even when he had been given a chance. The number of times I seen the likes of Baines flip at him because of his brainless antics said it all. Do I think he would score as many as Kone? No. Do I think he offers the same qualities to the team as Kone? No Is there anything concrete to prove this? Not really, just the fact that Kone scored 11 goals in a relegated team and brought the likes of Maloney into an advanced position by utilising clever and strong hold up play as a lone striker. A very unselfish team player who Martinez rates for his link up play. I look forward to seeing him in the squad and giving us options.
  22. "Herrera was convinced he was on his way to Old Trafford. He was not amused when the deal fell flat, but the truth of the matter was that David Moyes did not feel Herrera was worth the €36 million on his buyout clause." source:- Mr Billy Balague which is pretty much a 100% guarantee.
