  1. 4th official reporting we've signed him from elche for 2m euros....
  2. whoooaaaaaaa - I hate those posts where I have to agree with you! Can't you say, he's pants and passes backwards all game?
  3. He's very far removed from Phil Neville lads, come on. He's a possession footballer, one - two touch pass and move. Neville was a sunday league footballer in a premier league team. He will flourish. Look at the difference in Henderson with a bit of confidence for Liverpool, he just needs a break.
  4. I have also seen the games where he looks to have offered nothing. But I also recall games where I have seen him run the midfield. Notably the 8-2 thrashing of Arsenal, he dominated the midfield not by dribbling past 3 men and making clever through balls, but by keeping the ball and setting a high tempo with 1 and 2 touch play. I'm not saying he will be an amazing signing, there is a lot of work needed to rebuild the lad - and he may be damaged goods. But if he regains his confidence he can be a very good player.
  5. This is the type of signing thats spells out what is wrong with the so called top 4. Young players built up and knocked down before they have actually developed into a player. The lad had to actually close down his twitter account due to abuse from his own fans. People making petitions about him, Carricks Q&A being hijacked by fans using it as an opportunity to slate Cleverly. Its completely insane that humans are treated like this. The likes of Barkley, McCarthy would probably get the same level of treatement off that lot for not being Paul Scholes. Horrible fans. I really hope the lad proves them wrong.
  6. I really don't understand why he isn't at a new club, Mourinho doesn't rate him. He is up for sale for £20m which apparently most clubs would be daft not to sign him for - this figure fits for more clubs nowadays. One way or another, just get it sorted.
  7. The debt has actually reduced, we "should" have a kitty based on players sold, we should have a bit of extra cash with TV deal and last years revenue... I'm all for getting that useless bunch of idiots out of the club, my patience with them ended a long time ago. The fans have had to suffer with PR fools covering up these idiots. The only saving grace has been the managers that Bill recruited. The managers are the reason that the debt reduced. I keep myself pretty quiet on such matters nowadays, all Bill has to do is the odd TV appearance, hire a good manager and all is forgotten. I look into it more than that, yes he loves the club, but he "loves his position at the club more". We should be playing football in a 60,000 river side arena having had the club taken over by investors who know how to run a "comercially sound football club". Comercially we are a joke, really we are abysmal and its a problem from Boardroom to club staff. There is no professionalism whatsoever. Money to spend £30m on player etc??? It ain't gonna happen, we will operate at a mid table budget level, fans will rise and sit down according to what is happening on the pitch - there will be squabbles between fans who support Bill and those who have had enough.
  8. I think its quite ironic if we get him, they bought a £27m midfielder off us who typifies a non footballing style (physicality, aerial ability) and they were considered a footballing side. It then turns out that a player who received an undue amount of criticism despite being highly rated by the likes of SAF and Martinez as a proper footballer has to leave to revive his career... in short we could end up getting a gem on the cheap here chaps. Try not to pay too much attention to the "hype" of Cleverely being so bad, he really isn't.
  9. He should outsource the negotiations to Kit Bag or Sodexo, both companies managed to fleece us...
  10. its another close thread - seen the pictures with a Southampton top on...
  11. http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/no-disrespect-to-arsenal-but--chelseas-romelu-lukaku-takes-swipe-at-mesut-ozil-during-brazilgermany-clash-9593499.html He does like to chatter shite doesn't he. Ozil just helped his team batter Brazil 7-1, and like it or not Arsenal are a big club. He's got so much to bloody say.
  12. End of which he will be 35/36 yeah I'll take that. Hes not gonna sign a 2 year deal as no one will take him at 34/35, tough age to be stuck at looking for a new club. He's basically ending his career here, will offer a massive amount of knowledge and experience. It's a very shrewd move that adds quality, professionalism and know how to to a young breed of players. It's good.
  13. I'll be honest I thought it was gonna be a dull start so had family time thinking yeah 0-0 till half time. Oh well!
  14. Let's put this into context, he is a year younger than Gerrard who now has been shoe horned into Barry's role. I would argue that extravagant passing and long range shooting aside Barry is the better player for that role. Let's be honest, he's never had pace to miss.
  15. Be on the drip this one. Let Bobby work his magic.
  16. I'm pleased. A bit of TLC, out the gazing eye of the prawn butty brigade who think every young player to come through the ranks need to be scholes or Beckham and he will be absolutely fine. He's a one and two touch player who will really do well under Roberto. Good signing.
  17. Said earlier, you see why mourinho likes shurrle.
  18. Lukaku could conceivably become a lesser valued striker, that's absolutely not out the question. We bought fellaini for £15m, United bought him for £27m. One season of bad form and a shite world cup and they will do well to get £12m for him. Funny comparisons between lukaku and fellaini. Both rely on teams playing a certain way and the opposition not having the tools to deal with them.
  19. I like the look of the Brazilian chap at hoffenheim, looks a very Everton player... Get him Bob.
  20. We aren't in the premium player market, just coooool it chaps. Honestly if someone wanted me to turn this into a kenwright is a big hairy ballbag thread then I can but there is nothing untoward going on. Let's see what happens in next two weeks.
  21. That for me is what he had been associated with at Celtic. For me I think you will find that the move to Russia and back here will have given him the maturity he needed. At 28 I expect to see his decision making be a lot better. In a way he is like an older version of Gerry Deulofeu. These types of players take a little longer to swap impulsiveness with wisdom because they have so much skill. He can be an absolute gem of a player, i'm absolutely convinced by that.
  22. I think he will turn out to be an absolute gem of a player. Even though he wasn't fit when he played for us he looked unbelievably fast over 10 yards and his feet will cause trouble. I was really impressed with him. A full pre season should get the best from him.
