  1. Go on Kieran...grab a goal and give Moyes a real headache.
  2. What a way to top off being captain for the day!
  3. 23.32 Goal by Dan Gosling (Everton) drilled right-footed (high centre of goal) from centre of penalty area (12 yards).Hull 0-3 Everton. Assist (cross) by Ayegbeni Yakubu (Everton) from left channel.
  4. Anyone else think this is the end of Phil Brown at Hull?
  5. Hope Yak gets another game, he seems to have a positive impact. After Saha gets a couple of goals, we can bring on the Yak for a feed...
  6. Hope is getting his first international call up to England U16's.
  7. Got baby Nugent sleeping in one arm, wife asleep on the sofa, volume down on the TV so I don't disturb them both...so following in Aaron's footsteps I put my head phones on and listening to music at my very own & exclusive silent disco...all I need now is some foam! (Typing with one hand takes ages!)
  8. It was only a matter of time before the negative vibe arrived.
  9. A good dialogue from Elstone. So it sounds like Lescott did get his loyalty bonus.
  10. Typical journalism - no quotes from Moyes, no confirmation from other teams of interest. Journalists see what we see, a young player who is going to be big, and decide which teams they think would be interested. That said, it is obvious Rodders will attract a lot of attention.
  11. To be honest he has improved but he didn't exactly set a high benchmark at the start of the season. So yes he has progressed but has to keep it up - his passing is getting better and a great cross for Saha's header. It doesn't help seeing a young superstar flourishing along side him in Rodwell. I certainly have a more positive view on him at the moment.
  12. No direct family but our branches do cross eventually in our respective family trees. I have just liked him since his Preston days, I watched (and still do when I can) watch a lot of Preston. I guess you can call them my 2nd team. Still think he is written off as a striker too easily - although he got some air time/analysis on MOTD this week. He is a massive Evertonian too!
  13. Long live King Louis! It was hard to choose between Rodders (only 18 and already amazing!!) and Saha but because he is written off by so many but proving them wrong big style this season. Great all round game today with a couple of goals to top it off. Pienaar was a close third, he is proving to be Mr Consistent. (Was so hard to leave my baby boy at home to go to the game but it was worth the trip.)
  14. Both goals were awesome, the header was a typical power header from an excellent cross. His second was a top corner jobby.
  15. Yeah, conceived because of Nugent so I know what his middle name will be
  16. Did you see both of Nugent's goals today? I was erect after the 2nd, always knew he was a goalscorer! LMAO
  17. A shame he is out long term but it may give the opportunity for others to shine through - Rodwell showed this against AEK Athens. Gosling looked quite good at Right Back, Lucas Neill has signed, we have Hibbert & Heitinga so not doom and gloom like the usual pessimists on here make out.
  18. Good post. Pienaar is always going to be 1st name on the team sheet.
  19. Rodders seems like he has played with us for years. Sat watching the game with mates who are Arsenal fans and they couldn't get over how well Rodwell plays in front of the defence. Mention to Distin, looks very good in defence and confident on the ball. Billy was great too, nice option having him on the left and Pienaar on the right. Now we just need to transfer this type of play to the Premier League.
  20. Not on this occasion but I am considering sending a letter to his agent to ask him to be godfather
  21. Cheers guys. They are still in the hospital so this is my only night to sleep before he comes home. Hats off to women, no way I could go through that...they just keep doing it. My brother bought him an official Everton baby grow, looks even better than the adult replica home shirt. I have always wanted a big family, I will wait for my wife to leave hospital before bugging her for another one
  22. Well.... IT'S A BOY! Woooohooooo. Being a dad is such an amazing experience - for the first time ever I didn't even check for the Everton result until now. We were warned he would be a big baby because of my stature (6'5) and he came out at 10lbs 1 and slim & tall (so glad I don't have a birth canal!!). Anyway, that is all the posts from me for the next 18 years
  23. I want a bizarre name like they have in MLS...The Home Depot Center, Pizza Hut Park, Toyota Park, Gillete Stadium. What would the UK equivalents be? How about "The Matalan Center" or "Poundland Stadium"
  24. It was only a matter of time before this type of admission was made. Bit like the Gerrard/Lampard issue with England (although that seems to be getting better).
