  1. ^ agree with above. I see that Rodwell has to get more game time next season but his position clashes with Fellaini - we can't move Fellaini up the pitch. A nice headache to have, especially if you look at the wing too...personally I would like donovan right, pienaar left and Bily fighting for a place. If we kept everyone fit we could even rotate
  2. Ossie, Ossie, Ossie...Oi, Oi, Oi! Osman is in excellent form, long may it continue.
  3. We went to Maldives, Kerudu Island Resort, for our honeymoon 6 years ago. Fantastic place, weather hot all day long (went in May) and at night you get to see thunderstorms hovering over the other islands. Just make sure you have a piss before getting on the sea plane, the vibrations make you need a piss! Friends of ours are getting married end of June and going to Maldives for their honeymoon.
  4. Thing is, for me a striker should chase balls going towards to opposition goals al the time. Maybe Saha is just showing his age/fitness but so many times last night he didn't chase the half chance balls (unlike Cahill). In the Chelsea game though, he seemed to chase everything. However, his finishing is immense something I would always want in the team.
  5. Osman without a doubt, fantastic. Baines was nearly there, if only he had finished that ace run in the 1st half with a goal. Cahill looked very good until he got injured, chased everything. Saha had his lazy boots on. Have to say though, thought Moutinho was shite (and small) and glad we didn't break the bank for him. Never been a fan and certainly not now. Oh and the atmoshpere was so bad.
  6. Surely Felli's dad can't be trying to sell him to the "bigger" clubs now though. Just as I was starting to come round to him he goes and gets seriously injured...typical.
  7. Congratulation Trevor! My little blue boy is nearly 5 months old already and it has flown by. He has had a kit for each age range so far, he is a tall boy so only just fits in the 6-9 months size. Enjoy your time with him...you soon realise that he becomes your world and you live life around them..
  8. Donovan for me. A winger with pace and great crossing, fantastic performance.
  9. It feels strange admitting it, but I agree, Rodwell shouldn't be played ahead of Fellaini based on current form. On Saha, great news he has officially signed.
  10. At least Saha hasn't had his head turned by any other team. What this does give is Moyes a huge headache for team selection.
  11. Of course they would, what's your point? Thousands of fans don't have the finances to be in his position. Recommended by Walter Smith (evidence?) - anyway, employed by Kenwright. He didn't have to employ Moyes on someone's say so. Going rate? Vidic going to Real Madrid for £20m is going rate, Lescott is not a £20m player. Of course we can, that comment alone gives me brain ache...if you have a cold and see someone with the flu, you don't wish you had the flu too - you are thankful you are not in the same state of health. The mere fact we have not in financial turmoil (don't try to confuse our debt as turmoil) with the threat of winding up orders is something to be thankful for in the current climate. Spoken like a true Kenwright basher.
  12. I will second that. Owen is very much on the downward slope of his career. Wonder if he will send around another glossy brochure?
  13. Spent a few minutes trying to read this, but I am still stumped. What are you trying to say?
  14. Great game and very comfortable win despite only being 1-0. Wigan have some pace in their team, made our defence look like very slow on the counter. Osman was great, he just seems to make the midfield click lately. Felli was OK, Heitinga looked solid and Baines played very well & is getting much better with set pieces. I thought Dowie got it spot on.

  16. Anyone else watch part 1, just talking about him joining Everton at 9 then the Youth Cup final after which Moyes told him he would be joining the 1st team for Pre Season. Nothing that great so far.
  17. No, it means we have capacity within our wage structure to accomodate his wages so long as he takes a pay cut (if you believe his wage rumours).
  18. Normally I am not picky but had to comment on this. Unless the competition is run by a strict set of complex rules (players must be present for >= 30 minutes, had >= 1 shot on target etc) then it doesn't matter matter who people vote for, that is their 'right' to vote for that player. In your opinion Arteta didn't do enough but that is not going to be the view of everyone so you can't impose your views on to others. I think we (TT members) have had the MOTM validity discussion on ToffeeTalk before and it got nowhere...
  19. Redeveloping Goodison is the ideal situation, but, for me it is going to be the most costly & complex - I just hope it doesn't cripple us. Whenever you want to draw a new picture you always start with a blank piece of paper. With Goodison we need to use an old picture and get our erasers out. It really will need top notch planning (and money!!) to get this right...but boy it would be ace if there is any truth in this rumour.
