  1. I've been bored this morning and had a bit of a look at our squad again. I honestly think we could get rid of at least 15 players who are in my opinion average players or their time has come to an end.

Goalkeepers: 1 of Joel or Stek has to leave in order for us to have a proper number 1. Should have been done in the Summer. I'd favour Stek as number 2 and get rid of Joel.

Defenders: Jags has had a poor start and I think this is his last season. I'm not convinced with Mori either and wouldn't be bothered if he left. Garbutt had a five year deal before being second choice at Fulham and he's made three appearances for Wigan this year. He can go. I'm not convinced with Oviedo either if I'm honest.

Midfielders: Where do I start? Get rid of: Gibson, Cleverley, McCarthy, Lennon, Mirallas, McGeady, Lennon. Besic just about makes the cut but his injury record is appalling.

Strikers: Kone, Niasse and Rodriguez can leave. Valencia can go back to West Ham.

So to summarise: Joel, Jags, Garbutt, Oviedo, Mori, Gibson, Cleverley, McCarthy, Lennon, Mirallas, McGeady, Kone, Niasse, Rodriguez, Valencia (loan).

  2. Absolute twaddle. Lets face it if Moshiri wasn't here there would be no chance of a stadium move and Martinez would still be here. Bill needs to leave and take that clown Elstone with him. Shown no ambition whatsoever whilst being chairman and now we actually have money the Echo publish a crap article where Ian Ross was interviewed about how fantastic it would be just for Bill if we eventually have our stadium on the docks. It's obvious that Bill has some friends at the Echo because not once have they questioned him.

  3. Minus the two penalties I thought he was solid. Weird sentence I know, but he was very rash a couple of times. He still did a great job taking away those two mistakes he made and didn't see him make many more.

Agree. Had a very good game apart from the two penalties. The first one was unlucky as he didn't know too much about it. The second was very rash. Him and Williams are still our best two CBs.

  4. Getting Martinez ways completely out the club is going to take time. Personally I'm happy with the way we've started but I'll be honest I haven't watched the last two games in full.

United aren't doing too well and neither are Chelsea. They were/are on a worse run than us. 2 defeats in a week is bad but certainly not going to start thinking about changes yet.

Well said. I've seen so many overreactions due to the two defeats it's unbelievable (not on here - more on social media mainly). I've seen Koeman called 'a dutch fraud' and a 'dutch Martinez' after less than ten games in charge when we've started well... It's ridiculous.

  5. As a Welshman I'm really worried for Swansea... They used to be solid and difficult to beat but that's all gone now it seems. Amat and Fernandez as CBs are terrible and the manager looks like an older version of Martinez. Way too nice and the shape of the team is wrong. My prediction for the drop is Burnley, Hull and Sunderland. Swansea to survive as their manager will get sacked before christmas.

  6. Totally agree, used to really do my tits in when Moyes/ Martinez used to put weakened sides out

I always thought of it as a fuck you to us fans who travelled away on wet and windy November nights only to see us field a reserve side and go out to lower league opposition

Bloody Sod's law that I finally remembered to opt out of the auto cup scheme for this tournament in the year we finally take an interest

Ha! This reminds me of the Swansea game at the Liberty I went 2 years ago I think. I took my girlfriend to her first Everton match... and she hasn't been since. We were absolutely terrible. Martinez played the second team and we were destroyed. Lost 3-0 if I remember rightly. I seem to recall Hibbo starting his first game for a year or so and facing Montero. It didn't go well, to put it politely. I hope those days are gone now.

  7.

we owed barnsley 7.5m from stones. so we've spent 10m plus the fees we paid for walsh and koeman.

Maybe so but still disappointing after the takeover and the promised funds...

Sissoko rejected us apparently. Sounds a right dick as he ignored any contact from us after everything was sorted.

  8. We've no one to blame but ourselves again. We leave it too late every bloody time. Where was this marquee signing? We need a back up striker desperately!

We sold Stones for £47.5 million and spent £12 million on Williams, £7.1 million on Gueye, £750,000 on Stekelenburg and about £30 million on Bolasie which roughly comes to a total spend of £50 million shall we say? So after selling Stones we've spent £2.5 million.... Very underwhelming and a standard transfer window for Evertonians!
