I want my DM to show passion as well as ability on the ball. Unfortunately, I think he lacks in the latter.

On the underside of a barge.
With his initials only. At least then we'll be able to say it's a plaque for Burger King if anyone questions it. They deserve a plaque for that Chicken Royale anyway. Bloody tasty!

I agree with all of that however getting shut of Lennon twice is a bit harsh
Ha! Just noticed that. Just a bit harsh actually. Big clear out needed!

I've been bored this morning and had a bit of a look at our squad again. I honestly think we could get rid of at least 15 players who are in my opinion average players or their time has come to an end.
Goalkeepers: 1 of Joel or Stek has to leave in order for us to have a proper number 1. Should have been done in the Summer. I'd favour Stek as number 2 and get rid of Joel.
Defenders: Jags has had a poor start and I think this is his last season. I'm not convinced with Mori either and wouldn't be bothered if he left. Garbutt had a five year deal before being second choice at Fulham and he's made three appearances for Wigan this year. He can go. I'm not convinced with Oviedo either if I'm honest.
Midfielders: Where do I start? Get rid of: Gibson, Cleverley, McCarthy, Lennon, Mirallas, McGeady, Lennon. Besic just about makes the cut but his injury record is appalling.
Strikers: Kone, Niasse and Rodriguez can leave. Valencia can go back to West Ham.
So to summarise: Joel, Jags, Garbutt, Oviedo, Mori, Gibson, Cleverley, McCarthy, Lennon, Mirallas, McGeady, Kone, Niasse, Rodriguez, Valencia (loan).

Agreed.Confirmed - past it.

If Koeman can get the best out of him then I'd be up for a loan. Obviously a huge potential but he needs to get his head right in order to play well. I'd be up for this one.

Absolute twaddle. Lets face it if Moshiri wasn't here there would be no chance of a stadium move and Martinez would still be here. Bill needs to leave and take that clown Elstone with him. Shown no ambition whatsoever whilst being chairman and now we actually have money the Echo publish a crap article where Ian Ross was interviewed about how fantastic it would be just for Bill if we eventually have our stadium on the docks. It's obvious that Bill has some friends at the Echo because not once have they questioned him.
-
Haye would smash his head in. Bellew's tough but ridiculously reckless. Haye would pick him off and his punches would hurt him. Behaved like a child afterwards and had an absolute nightmare calling Haye's hair 'Spongebob Squarepants' when he should have said Sideshow Bob.

Minus the two penalties I thought he was solid. Weird sentence I know, but he was very rash a couple of times. He still did a great job taking away those two mistakes he made and didn't see him make many more.
Agree. Had a very good game apart from the two penalties. The first one was unlucky as he didn't know too much about it. The second was very rash. Him and Williams are still our best two CBs.
-
Has to be Stek. Williams was superb as well. Looking forward to have Baines back at left back though, Oviedo doesn't cut it for me.
-
Apparently he didn't play very well tonight and his goal came off his shoulder so scoring 2 in 2 for the U23s is hardly something to write home about. He's not good enough simple as. Martinez noticed when he was training and Koeman noticed straight away. He has no future here. Waste of £13.5 million!

Getting Martinez ways completely out the club is going to take time. Personally I'm happy with the way we've started but I'll be honest I haven't watched the last two games in full.
United aren't doing too well and neither are Chelsea. They were/are on a worse run than us. 2 defeats in a week is bad but certainly not going to start thinking about changes yet.
Well said. I've seen so many overreactions due to the two defeats it's unbelievable (not on here - more on social media mainly). I've seen Koeman called 'a dutch fraud' and a 'dutch Martinez' after less than ten games in charge when we've started well... It's ridiculous.
-
That's called cheating sir (you know that better than anyone ).
Ha! Yes I know... should have stated before the season started.
-
As a Welshman I'm really worried for Swansea... They used to be solid and difficult to beat but that's all gone now it seems. Amat and Fernandez as CBs are terrible and the manager looks like an older version of Martinez. Way too nice and the shape of the team is wrong. My prediction for the drop is Burnley, Hull and Sunderland. Swansea to survive as their manager will get sacked before christmas.
-
One of my frustrations with the team under Martinez was that they indulged in his fluffy stuff.
Koeman has the air of the strict history teacher, martinez was like the supply teacher.
The bloody caretaker by the end if you ask me...
-
Totally agree, used to really do my tits in when Moyes/ Martinez used to put weakened sides out
I always thought of it as a fuck you to us fans who travelled away on wet and windy November nights only to see us field a reserve side and go out to lower league opposition
Bloody Sod's law that I finally remembered to opt out of the auto cup scheme for this tournament in the year we finally take an interest
Ha! This reminds me of the Swansea game at the Liberty I went 2 years ago I think. I took my girlfriend to her first Everton match... and she hasn't been since. We were absolutely terrible. Martinez played the second team and we were destroyed. Lost 3-0 if I remember rightly. I seem to recall Hibbo starting his first game for a year or so and facing Montero. It didn't go well, to put it politely. I hope those days are gone now.
-
I see. Hopefullly we flog him before the 6th then!!No. We can still lose players to other leagues whose window remains open, Russia is until 6th September.
The window only covers players coming into registration for said countries FA.
-
So let me get this straight. Until January at least, Niasse is going to pick up 65k a week for doing bugger all. Tough life!!
-
Another farce. Why didn't we just pay what they wanted? Left it too late again and by January he'll be a target for other clubs.
-
Not impressed. He isn't an upgrade on what we already have. Wish him all the best but I hope he goes back to West Ham at the end of the season. Bony was available on loan and he can actually play a bit but we decide to get Valencia... Great!
-
Valencia is absolutely crap. West Ham fans are laughing their heads off that we've taken him off them. If we thought Rom's touch was bad then we haven't seen anything yet. Kone is better than him and that in itself is a horrific statement.
-
Maybe so but still disappointing after the takeover and the promised funds...we owed barnsley 7.5m from stones. so we've spent 10m plus the fees we paid for walsh and koeman.
Sissoko rejected us apparently. Sounds a right dick as he ignored any contact from us after everything was sorted.
-
We've no one to blame but ourselves again. We leave it too late every bloody time. Where was this marquee signing? We need a back up striker desperately!
We sold Stones for £47.5 million and spent £12 million on Williams, £7.1 million on Gueye, £750,000 on Stekelenburg and about £30 million on Bolasie which roughly comes to a total spend of £50 million shall we say? So after selling Stones we've spent £2.5 million.... Very underwhelming and a standard transfer window for Evertonians!

I'd take him in a heartbeat. Very, very highly rated in Germany. I'd take Rudy off them as well and Timo Horn if we're shopping in Germany.
