  1.

Is this the first sign of an excuse?

    I hope not.

Yeah, cause Jim White does know what he's talking about...

BK, FM, SW and RK in a meeting looking at transfer targets....

SW: This transfer window is insane...

BK: Would you be willing to pay that for him Farhad?

    Farhad?

    FM: Huh?

BK: Put that phone away now - the clock is ticking. Who are you texting anyway?

    FM: No one...

    ****************

Jim White: I've just been in contact with Farhad Moshiri and he's told me this is an insane transfer window.

    Watch this space Everton fans....

    Do one Jim White.

  2. "He loved a tussle, loved that old school element born from his non-league days. He was once asked why he had squared up against Moussa Sissoko in a middle of a match, replying later that the Newcastle man had done nothing but the game had been too quiet and he felt the need to fire himself up!"

Love that bit. We have needed someone like this for years!

  3. Agree about the ones you've mentioned but there's plenty of keepers out there we could buy. Why not test Leverkusen with a 20 million bid for Leno? Why not test Koln with a 10 million bid for Horn? Cilessen at Ajax? Sirigu at PSG? There's 4 there and they're all massive upgrades on what we currently have. We don't even have to break the bank for them. We massively need a proper keeper and I'm not confident in Stekelenburg as our first choice if that's the case.

  4. Mourinho showed why he's a grade one prick. Substituting a sub is humiliating and it looks as though his intention was to humiliate Mata. With the arrival of Pogba I'm sure Mata is now available. I'd love him to come here. He'd be appreciated and adored by us as I think he'd be a fantastic signing for us.

  5. I just hope that he can pass forward as well as defend and do what he does best. The problem with our current midfielders is they're all too 'safe'. I'm sick of the sideways passing Martinez developed and I'm bored of McCarthy, Besic, Barry, Cleverley and Gibson (to be fair Gibson is the best out of them at actually setting up attacks but he's always injured). We definitely need one more in there and then we can offload 2 if not 3 of the others. I've been so disappointed in McCarthy lately that I wouldn't be fussed if he left. I think the novelty is starting to wear off with Besic as well. He's not that good on the ball and we need more than his aggression in midfield if we're actually thinking of doing something this season. Will be very interesting to see what Koeman thinks of our midfielders.

  6. I just hope that Koeman has seen what he has at his disposal in the last 2 games... A squad filled with a handful of quality players but mostly average squad fillers. Besic and McCarthy have done themselves no favours. McCarthy was dreadful today, his distribution is awful. Cleverley is a squad player, as is Lennon and Oviedo at a push. We need a new goalkeeper ASAP. Kone and McGeady need to leave and a decision needs to be made on Stones. Nearly in to August now so I'm slightly panicking as I know how long we take to conclude our deals.

  7. Right now Koulibaly is a better defender than Stones and signing him would no doubt make us stronger defensively. He's only 25 as well so if we get around 50 million for Stones and sign Koulibaly for 40 million, I only see it as good business. His only issue is concentration but I think that's due it being too easy for him at times and that tends to make him switch off. He's 6'5, two footed (right footed but plays as a LCB), strong and quick and very good in the air. He's like a Sylvain Distin but a few levels above. I still think he'll sign for Chelsea though unfortunately.

  8. How will a director of football benefit us? Geniune question as I'm okay with having one but just don't really know what will be different if he arrives. Is it that he has ridiculous knowledge of world football and players therefore able to forward these on to Koeman??? Because lets face it, Koeman has his targets in mind most probably and if they're pretty good, Walsh will just agree surely...

  9. He's a very good player who hasn't been given any kind of chance.

He might of done okay in Russia but from what we've seen here he's no where near good enough. £14 million we paid for him... You could get a proven European striker for that price but we chose to spend it on Niasse instead... It's embarrassing really and whoever scouted him and gave this deal the go ahead should hang their head in shame. His touch is awful, he has no composure whatsoever and labelling him awkward with the ball would be very kind indeed. There were strong rumours that the players couldn't believe how awful he was when he started training. Rom called him raw which lets face it is a nice way of saying he's quick but he has no other attributes at all.

It was a disaster of a signing full stop.
