  1. Why would you want to get rid of Pennington? Looked decent the brief look we got of him at the end of the season. And Stones is as good as gone, after the transfer request last summer he did nothing to show he genuinely wanted to be at this club. For that alone I'd have him first on my out list. No point carrying players who don't want to be here.

Don't think he's done too bad either but realistically he's behind Jags, Stones, Mori, Galloway and Holgate in the pecking order.

  2. Just had a look at our squad on the official site... We need a huge clear out. We have got way too much dead wood here.

A squad of 37 players there.... The ones in bold I think should leave as they're not good enough so at least 13 of them!

  3. I would love to have him... for the price quoted last summer. He could be a solid enough replacement for Stones (should he leave). But, that price is a bit absurd.

He's an absolute beast. He's very comfortable with the ball but he's also a brilliant defender. Quick, tall, strong, two footed, 25 year old who had an fantastic season last year = he's gonna cost at least £35 - 40 million. Would love him here but not at the expense of Stones. Imagine having 4 CBs - two right sided in Jags and Stones and two left sided in Mori and Koulibaly...

  4. I've seen him quite a few times against Wales as we have played them 5 times in the last 4 year or so. He was immense in the first game but he didn't really do much in the other games... Obviously he's a big name and probably be a big upgrade on what we have so he'll have my full support. Where would his signing leave Besic, McCarthy, Barry and Gibson??? Just makes that Gibson 2 year deal look more stupid IMO. Will be interesting to see if Koeman fancies Besic or McCarthy as well.

  5.

yep, off course he'll get sacked. He hedged himself the past few das by saying "he has already made his decision" which he'll use to say that he left on purpose. Dickhead.

And quarter final Wales - Portugal... what a travesty.

Hahahah! Travesty?? Behave will you. Deserved to win. The journey continues!!
  6.

Good offensively, but much like his brother not a tactical genious .. leaves a lot of space in his back. He would have started anyway instead of Vermaelen with Vertonghen pairing up with Alderweireld. Now that Vertonghen is out aswell, Denayer will play in the middle. Denayer is very fast, which is good in hopes to stop Bale's rushes. Sadly, Denayer was also crap in his last couple of games for Belgium.

Belgium have now lost Vertonghen, Kompany, Lombaerts and Vermaelen in a defense that was shaky to begin with. I have zero confidence for tomorrow and fear Bale will score a hattrick.

I like Vertonghen as well, think he's a top quality CB and a very good LB as well so naturally a huge loss for you. I like the sound that Lukaku likes to attack as it will leave space in behind him. Just noticed that Denayer is on loan at City so I wonder what will be his future next year with Guardiola. Yeah, a lot of injuries/suspensions for you at the back which can only be positive for us however you've got such depth that you've still got good players coming in. Injuries like that for us and we'd be done for. Luckily and I cross everything here, we haven't had an injury to a major player with Ashley Williams being fit for tomorrow.

  7. Fuck, Vertonghen out injured for the rest of the tournament. And Vermaelen will be suspended against Wales. Probably Denayer and Jordan Lukaku starting then. I'm getting scared now.

Just saw that. Quite a boost for us even though I know thay Denayer is highly rated... How is Jordan Lukaku at left back?
  8. I'd love Iceland to go on and win it they've played some great football and just like their spirit culture etc but very very unlikely so its Italy for me for similar reasons to Paul

I hope Belgium absolutely spank Wales nothing against the natives just Bale Ramsey and Gunter get right on my tits

And I have no problem with that whatsoever. It's how it should be. The feeling was likewise towards Wilshire, Vardy, Alli, Henderson and Sturridge.

  9. The welsh can fuck off. Their players celebrating England like a bunch of small time chip on shoulder nob heads.

I've no time for Hodgson's and the egos, but fuck me I've never seen such a poor 'let's park the bus' tournament. Bale had the cheek to have a dig at Northern Ireland for playing ugly.

Ohh come on Haf... What did you expect them to do? Sit there quietly when our rivals have left the competition and we're still in it? I'd have expected the same from England if it was the other way round. As Jack Wilshire said "They don't like us and we don't like them!" The only thing I don't agree with is that it was leaked to the internet. That should have stayed within the camp and I'm sure someone's had a right bollocking for uploading it.

Of course with all the anger towards the England team at the minute, the media have made a lot of it when all they did was celebrate England going out of the competition like any Welsh fan. I'd rather it was like this than getting all friendly and nice with each other. Did anyone here celebrate when Sevilla won the Europa League? I'm sure 99.9% of the forum did as we're Everton fans and we don't like them. I would hope that the Everton players reacted the same as well when that full time whistle went....

Exactly the same sort of situation in my opinion....
