I didn't say I would be happy with a top 10 finish
My stance is that I cant see any manager coming in and doing any better than Moyes did without first getting considerable financial backing.
For the record I don't think we will get anywhere near either of the Manchester clubs or Chelsea and it will be extremely difficult to catch Spurs or Arsenal

Without the finances have no chance of making that next step
With all this hype about Martinez Im surprised Tony Mowbary hasn't been mentioned as a possibility for manager , after all he also played attractive football all the way down to the Championship

Lol he is comfortably the worst manager in Wigan's Premiership history based on league positions! Not totally sold on him but I still think he is one of the better options given the names being bandied about, would prefer Laudrup but cant see him wanting to come
I think he will be a big succees there, for me the only gamble is his lack of experience in Europe and what will he be like with money, and Im sure Fergie can put him straight on both counts
I would completely disagree with the points you have made. firstly Moyes has been very limited in his options at Everton due to the size of the squad. Its not like we have the players to suddenly go 4-3-3. Weve never had 2 decent strikers so he is rightly reluctant to go 4-4-2. You have to play with the cards you are dealt with and I think he has done that superbly well over the years. At times some of our football has been superb but we just havent had that top class centre forward to finish it off otherwise Im sure we would have had more success
As for not giving kids a chance I think thats the biggest load of crap ever. We have one of the best youth setups around and it has produced plenty of players that have made the breakthrough into the first team. The problem is some people in here want the youngsters in just because of their age regardless of whether or not they are good enough or ready for it
Ive said all along that I beleived Moyes was a far better manager than some people in here give him credit for and it would appear that SAF and the people at United agree
Trepidation I think is the word I would use, but Moyes has gone now so we move on
Whoever the next manager is at least he will inherit a good squad and have a solid foundation to build his team from and ironically could have more money to spend this summer than Moyes has had in 11 years
It will be a very interesting summer!

Incidentally just seen a tweet about Martinez saying Wigans finishes before his time were 10th,17th,14th,11th and since he became manager 16th,16th,15th 18th not exactly impressive!
How is he hogging the cameras? I think you will find he is practically being stalked by the press at the moment as its seen as one of the biggest stories in British football
We get it Haf you hate BK , I thought you would be happy with all of these developments but all you seem to want to do is slate the Chairman for no reason
I dont see the point in him staying until the end of the season really other than to give him a send off on Sunday
I just hope we get the right manager in early. I can just see it now come transfer deadline day we will bring the manager in at 23:00 and be looking for our new summer signings in the lst hour of the window
