  3. We have one of the best academies in the country as it is, so I hope they don't tinker with it too much
  4. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2333792/David-Moyes-expected-bring-Alan-Irvine-Manchester-United-coach.html Taking Irvine aswell now, wasnt bothered about the rest of them but thinkhe willbe a big loss
  5. http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1464786 Martinez meeting BK again today, wouldnt mind any of these tobe honest
  6. Hmmmm whereas Wigan finished 11th and were in a Cup final 3 years before you mean? Lol it would would appear that its not the only thing you cant fathom!
  7. Cant really do much more than that at this point so fair play to them
  8. Was that the case when he first took charge of Everton? I think the situation Martinez was in and the situation Moyes inherited when he first took over are quite comparable, yet Moyes managed to stabilise the club and gradually build it to take us away from the threat of relegation and turn us into regular top 8 finishers Its not like he came in and threw loads of money at the problem
  9. Haf your going on about needing a balanced argument and then you spout this waffle Some of the football we played in 2012 calendar year was superb and you make out we had about 3 good games or something. You back Martinez saying that injuries are to blame for them going down yet ignore the injuries Everton have had. Gibson, Mirallas and Coleman are all integral to the way we play and have all been out for lengthy periods of the season There is a saying in football that you have to earn the right to play football and I think its spot on. Martinez isn't the first ,manager whose side has stuck to its footballing principals but more often than not those sides have played pretty football all the way down to the Championship As I said earlier I am coming around to the idea of Martinez but there are big reservations about his defensive record, he had four years to sort out Wigans defence and failed miserably. That said I also had reservations about Pereria and his lack of experience outside of Portugal, so I don't think any of the names linked were ideal but we simply aren't going to attract the top managers For me Martinez is probably about as good as we can hope for at the moment and obviously if he takes the job I hope he is successful
  10. Lol facts like Wigan were relegated, win percentage of 29% and going out of the Cups 5 times in 4 years to lower league opposition!
  11. Pretty much agree with this Laudrup would have been my first choice but hes ruled himself out so for me from yje names linked I wanted either Martinez or Pereira Got reservations about both but they are a lot better than the likes of Lennon, MOL and Hughes
  12. We have also got a track record of losing star players and the fees/wages Everton paid for the likes of Arteta, Cahill,AJ,McFadden, Jags and Lescott were all easily within Wigans budget. Moyes then developed those players and sold them on for a profit which is where the money came from for the increased reinvestment and wages for him to play with. Moyes managed to improve our squad year on year and move us up the table , Martinez hasnt
  13. Heard on Radio City this morning that the petition now has over 20.000 signatures so its upset a fair few people
  14. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22680217 Not going to be Laudrup
  15. If that's the case we need to get rid of him asap, he has had a really poor season so I wouldn't really be too sad to see him go anyway

  17. There was no £9M for FER, we were going to pay that on the drip

  19. I think it looks cheap and tacky "The new, more modern, cleaner and dynamic design has been created following an extensive consultation process with fans, supporters' groups and branding experts." Seems very odd as most fans I know and on most forums the general consensus seems to be that they hate it http://www.sbnation.com/soccer/2013/5/25/4365238/everton-new-crest-photo
