  1. lol Dont be letting the truth get in the way of a good moan!
  2. Ha ha its good to be back, Ive missed all this negativity and mindless ranting! If Moyes had been under a regime that could give him £10M a season to spend we would probably be playing Champions League football by now and all you would have to moan about would be a lack of Saturday afternoon football
  3. Thats because he didnt play there last season until Jelavic arrived
  4. Thats because that is his position! He is not and never will be an out and out forward, he was being asked to lead the line for Everton for most of last season and that isnt his game. He is always better when he makes late runs into the box from deep. He was only aloud to do this last year once Jelavic came. I If Cahill is still with us for all of next season I will put money on him getting into double figures
  5. Because he was carrying injuries and being played out of position
  6. Lol forgot to mention, is it not writting him off if you think all he will do is struggle through games and be a passenger?
  7. Thats my point I dont think he will struggle through games and be a passenger I fully understand letting him go if we need him off the wage bill, but all Im saying is that I think he would be a great player to have around Finch Farm and I think he would be a great player to be bringing off the bench. As I said I think the main reason his form dipped last season was because he was carrying injuries and playing out of position all the time, let him get a good preseason under his belt and maybe even use him more sparingly and I reckon you will start to see a bit more of the old Tim Cahill
  8. I would be a bit gutted if he goes because I still think he has a lot to offer Everton He played a large portion of last season carrying injuries and playing out of position and I thought he starte to look a bit more like his old self once Jelavic came , but I suppose its the ToffeeTalk way to write him off and have a good moan
  9. We were paying his £70k a week wages in full while he was back on loan
  10. I rest my grip! He has always been this good it has just taken you a few years ( and stats ) to see what most of us saw from day one. Even now I dont think you realise jsut how good he is and what he brings to the table
  11. Pete you really need to start looking at the game instead of looking at the stats
  12. Thats the thing that is clouding peoples judgement on this though His contract was almost up and so Spurs jumped in and got themselves a bargain, people should look at it as 2 completely different transactions If we had sold him to Spurs for £5M would that make him worth £5M now?
  13. Lol Pete your learning mate, 12 months ago he was just a headless chicken ! ( As it goes Ive always rated Ossie btw! )
  14. People said the same about Distin and I dont think that deal has worked out too bad I couldnt give a monkeys about sell on value, his value to the team right now far outweighs that IMO He has got at least 3 more years at the top in him, I mean its not as though he has got any pace to lose in the first place! With the difference he makes to the team I think we would recoup that fee back in one season just from our league position, not to mention the lift it would give the squad if we could bring him back
  15. I think he is well worth it I really cant see why Spurs would even entertain the idea of selling him for any less
  16. To be fair to PeteO I honestly dont think he is slating Gerrard because he is bitter, I just dont think he would recognise a good footballer if he kicked him in the bollocks ( He is just as blinkered about our own players ie Piennar)
  17. Or Moyes was able to pick a side that contained a decent centre forward for once! People in here seem extremely quick to blame Moyes and get on his back when things arent going well, but they never seem to be prepared to give him any credit when he turns it round and things are going well
  18. Spoken like a true Buffoon ( as in Buffoon Union! ) And just exactly who was it who got them playing a bit?
  19. lol think that applies to a few people in here as well
  20. I have got a mate who is a season ticket holder at Posh and he has been banging on about how good this lad is for ages, might be worth a punt if we can get him on the cheap
  21. The same guy tweeted later on that the fee was £500k , but he has been getting slated all week for spouting nonsense so take it with a pinch of salt
  22. Or that the lad has been unlucky with injuries, nah fook it lets have a moan! I wish we would have had a player in the last 20 years who had been even close to his level
  23. I was under the impression he didnt have to sign a new contract because Everton had the option of extending his current deal by 12 months anyway
