frank queudrue scored a scorcher once. think he was playin for lens, about 40 yards out and hooked it up into the air and it beat the keeper. wrong end though :rolleyes_anim:
nah romey rooneys injured, i heard he wont be back till very end of september. i think this time there is a much more real possibility of keeping a clean sheet against them, they arent scoring freely like last season. and we have a better strike force with yak on board. we didnt have AJ or howard for the last manure game either, and we have a proper left back now too.
yeah, shots being saved wasnt beattie's problem, his problem was he did fuck all and never shot. AJ's goals will come, the arrival of yak will help him lots. And the problem of the strikers being isolated stems from playing 2 defensive midfielders in a 4-4-2 system. if youre gonna play 2 DMers you need an AM like cahill/ossie/pienaar in front of them.
any ideas what sort of team we're gonna put out?
i'm hoping for
Howard
Neville Yobo Lescott Baines
Arteta Jags Grav Pienaar
AJ Yak
subs: Wessels, Stubbs, Ossie, McFadden, Anichebe
metalist fans, do you know what your line-up is going to be?
know its a while away yet... but what team do you think will be put out?
i hope:
Howard
Neville Yobo Lescott Baines
Arteta Jagielka Gravesen Pienaar
AJ Yak
probably wont happen though, he'll probably go back to osman and carsley <_<
"It was backs-to-the-wall stuff for Everton after that as the Trotters poured forward in search of an equaliser"
"That was a rare moment of respite for Everton, as was the half-time interval because even after the break there was no let up in pressure from Bolton"
what utter bollocks, at the beginning of the 2nd half they attacked us a lot but it was not a backs to the wall job in the 1st half at all.
cahill too attacking for a captain imo. too far forward to see the whole pitch. i'd make lescott captain, he's already a great leader at the back, made loads of difference when he came on against blackburn.
