We're actually the only club in the whole of the English football league not to have signed anybody... there is something fundamentally wrong there!

Odd post... anyway back on topic. The media types on twitter are beginning to publisise that EFC are the only club not to have made a permanent signing this summer.

You need to consider tactics, unity, heart and desire though - money can't buy these (well maybe tactics)...

Essentially the same team - I think Neville will be eased out this season for Rodwell.

I wouldn't mind us setting up like this if we signed him... ...................Howard................... Coleman...Jags...Distin...Baines ......................Nev...................... Barton...Osman...Fellaini...Arteta .....................Saha..................... Pretty solid team with some quality back-up e.g. Cahill, Heit, Bily, Yak, etc... In this case I don't think lack of natural width would effect us too much as we know baines/coleman can bomb past the winger and put a cross in and we'd hope barton/arteta would help back when this happens. If we could then shift Yobo/Yak then we could probably focus on getting that striker we're also crying out for (when saha's unfit!) Hopefully Donovan will re-join on loan in Jan too - I'd obviously ask for more but if we could get Barton and a striker this window (only losing yak/yobo) and add to that Donovan in Jan - again not selling anyone (unless Bily bid came in - would need replacing) - then I'd be quite confident with our squad this season with a little luck with injuries.

Football will always be won and lost on the pitch, at the end of the day it's 11 people vs 11 people. Nice post all in all - not saying I agree with it or enjoyed reading it but it was personal to you and you're obviously a committed/passionate blue so fair play.

From what I saw we lacked creativity and fluidity - Jags looked solid in 2nd half. Lets not forget this was a pre-season friendly away to a very good team who we probably didn't do as much research on as if it were a 'competitive' game. Hopefully we'll put on a better show at home on fri... Mucha/Distin on their goal was a little cringeworthy!!!

I'd like us to move quick and just get him on board to be honest as I think a fair few clubs will consider him a steal on a free especially with all CL teams (minus City) in the market for CM's.
