  1. ....................................... Depends which hair your talking about.
  2. He might show a bit of confidence in the youngsters, cos i think all departments are well covered now if Lescott signs, well unless we have an earthquake or something. GOAL.................Howard, Martyn, Wright, Ruddy, Turner. FULLBACK..........Hibbert, Valente, Naysmith, Pistone. CENTRE HALF......Yobo, Lescott, Stubbs, Weir. MIDFIELD...........Osman, Davies, Cahill, Arteta, Neville, Kilbane, V D Meyde. FORWARDS.........Beattie, Johnson, McFadden. Davey likes to get players who are versatile, and can cover for most positions. If we do have trouble with lots of injuries we have the players who can move about, joey yobo can cover for right back, phil neville can cover either fullback and anywhere in midfield, osman can play wide or centre, same with kilbane, and arteta can play anywhere across the park wide left, wide right, or in the centre. on top of that you have a few youngsters who might get on the bench. Vidarsson, Annichebe, Vaughan.
  3. We all know what a terrible start we had last season, but we turned it around, But if you look at our last 6 games at the end of the season we fell away again, especially at home. Our last 3 home games were against the 3 relegated teams B.ham, W Brom, and Sunderland and we didnt win one of them, if we had have done it would have been 6 more points and 7th place in the league. SO ON THAT BASIS WE MUST BE AIMING FOR THE TOP SIX....AT LEAST.
  4. Tranmere or Chester could probs use him, he's a bit nearer home then, an easier league might kick-start his career again. Shame, cos in the early days he reminded me a bit of Jimmy Greaves .....................a good poacher.
  5. Whats the chances of Davey starting the season with Stubbs & Weir at the back.
  6. as for the topic .......OVERPRICED.? We all laughed our heads off when the RS paid £7m for Crouch. AJ had a good goalscoring record in the Prem and has been top scorer for the last 4 years. He also has good speed and an excellent 110% workrate Lescott has played international games for England U21s, was Wolves player of the year, and was selected in the Championship team of the season 2 years running. For a 23 year old it seems a high price to pay, but i'm glad we pushed the boat out, i think these two are an excellent improvement on previous signings. Overpriced ?.....................No, cos thats the going rate these days
  7. Mac said..............."I can almost see Evertonians grinning like a wanking chimp" .................................... What a wonderfull turn of phrase, i think i'll try it.
  8. Java..........theres no chance of lower prices. Old Trafford........73.000 capacity and still the 2nd highest prices in the prem. ............ Fozz..........10.000 corporate seats out of the present capacity leaves 30.000 for us "Common people" as you put it. But 10.000 corporate seats out of a 60.000 capacity leaves 50.000 for us common people. Theres no point in only increasing by 10.000 if they are going to be taken up by the corporates, we will still have to produce away ticket stubs for all the big games. It has to be 60.000, and if someone else is going to fund it, why not.
  9. I think Jose uses the rotation quite a lot and his strikers will only play about 25 games each. Lampard will be Chelseas leading scorer again .....he plays every game.
  10. Its a load of shit, just guessing, trying to let on he's in the know but knows nowt.
  11. Welcome back Super, Took a year out to clear your head. The futures bright, the futures Blue.
  12. The genuine supporters are not getting the tickets for the big games, how many times last season did you have to have away ticket stubs to get yourself a ticket. ?? All the corporates and business people get them, we should be able to walk in a ground on the day of the game without all this f##kin about. Its like anything else if people get turned away they wont go again, and if we cant get in just once because theres not enough seats, then it means the place is too small. Look at it this way, who cares if 45.000 go to a ground that holds 50.000......... but if there is one or two games that we could have got 60.000 in, but the ground only holds 50,000, thats where you lose out. Got to be 60.000 at least.
  13. Think i would take Dafoe, should have been in before Walcot.
  14. Adam........ i was saying Java didnt have a sense of humour, because of his little outburst.
  15. Dont mention Kewell , that was a dodgy deal and should have been looked into by the FA.
  16. Goldy said........................... I keep hearing this figure of 50,000 capacity and i think we should be aiming a little higher than that unless of course the structure is designed to be easily expanded. .................................. I am in complete agreement with you, RS have applied for a 60.000 stadium so i think we must at least match that, or go for 61.000 and show everybody that we still are the biggest club on merseyside. We must not play second fiddle to them. A bigger stadium will get the concerts, cup semi finals, and international games amongst lots of other things, so lets go for it. We are a big club, lets hope the people in the Boardroom havent forgotten. Licker.
  17. She's all yours Mac, Cos i wouldnt.
  18. L. POOP not i poop....................RS. L.POOL. are you blind as well.
  19. If we are going to sign Huth we need to do it before the World cup starts, cos if he has a good competition we may lose out to other clubs, or the price might go up.
