Think i saw it somewhere that they offered him an extension on his contract cos of the brilliant first season he had, was slightly improved moneywise cos they were worried he might have been lured away for better money.........i think.

Beckham and Cole out wide, Lampard and Gerrard will always be on the edge of the Box for the loose ball coming out. All it does when you play around with that system is weaken the attack, it just puts an extra man in a defensive mode. If we play the english way them fookin foreigners shit themselves, but we try and change our system to the way they play, and it doesnt work. Yeah i see where your coming from on VD meyde, i've based my view on his previous record...........last three seasons he has started only 18 games, and scored one goal, so when we got 6 games from him thats the seasonal average. And dont you think if he was CLASS, he would not have ended up here for 1.5 million. No one would take a chance on him, we did but its backfired.

The club ARE making positive steps in the transfer market at last, but we still have a lot of Dead wood that are costing the club millions just in wages alone, and we are getting nothing in return. V D Meyde..............6 games. Pistone...................3 games Naysmith................5 games Li Tie......................0 games Carsley.................. 4 games for instance.......if each of these players are on an average wage of 25 grand, they have cost the Club £7.5 million this season, and for that we havent had 20 games out of the lot put together. We cannot afford to carry passengers to that extent, so they should be f##ked off sharpish. None of these players will ever be 1st choice, even if they ever get themselves fit, so i think they should be moved on and a couple of decent squad players brought in, but thats only my opinion, feel free to dissagree. Goalie Robert Green collapsed in agony as he was taking a goal kick. had only been on the pitch as a sub for 5 mins, the ball trickled to an attacker who put the ball into an unguarded net. Green was sretchered off and replaced by Scott Carson, l,pools 3rd choice goalie. Very likely that Green will miss the world cup.

Its not a risk tho is it. Beattie was a bigger risk, unfit for six months before he played. Aj is in the England squad.........the risk is not getting him and finishing the lowest scoring team in the prem. Relegation will loom again.

I put on another thread somewhere that i would rather have one good one, than three average ones, who we are looking to move on after one season., for example Marcus Bent, Kev Kilbane, A V D Meyde. These type of players are a Quick fix, but will not improve the Squad in the long term. If our aim is to improve and become a force in the prem, we must start buying bigger and better. If we do have 12 or 13 mill to spend i would be quite content with two good signings this season, a good striker and a good centre half, then we can do the same next year, couple more GOOD signings, not these over the hill players that cant get into the teams we buy them from, we can get them squad players on loan and stop buying rubbish.

Name another striker ( he's an england squad man remember ) you can get for less.
