    Exactly what I said to my son yesterday. If there’s one thing I’ve learnt about supporting Everton over the decades is that you can expect the unexpected for better or worse. Take earlier in this season on a horrendous run of form, lots of injuries and we beat Chelsea, Leicester and Arsenal back to back.

    I don’t think you need to wish injury on him he seems pretty competent at doing that himself.

    That was about as much as of an emotional rollercoaster game as I can remember. My heart rate has only just started to get back to pre match levels. I don’t know about the players but I feel absolutely drained. Not sure how I’ll be at work in 6 hrs time!

    My son was asking me about a player being cup tied today and it made me think. Surely with the now installed transfer windows, increased foreign players and FFP that this is an antiquated rule

    Difference being when Pickford tries to make up for a mistake he’s made it usually ends up with him having to pick the ball out of his own net.
