Top post haf and StevO I hope that wasn't aimed at me! I stand by the fact I believe that was Barkleys worst half I've ever seen him play and I have a right to be able say that. I want nothing more for him to perform and stick it to big Sam. However I'm not going to come on here and post he played well when he had an absolute shocker (watch it back it really was that bad). Poor bloke is devoid of confidence at the moment and that was seen when he was in a couple of good shooting positions but choose a (poor) pass.

Watched the game again today and I think that half was one of Ross's worst performances in a Everton shirt. I hope he can shrug it off but it wasn't good and I'm sure it'll knock his confidence even more.

That's not all that surprising as Villa hardly ever had the ball last year. Without the ball much more chance to make tackles and interceptions- this is EXACTLY why I hate stats!!

Haf I enjoy your contributions and credit for sticking to your guns and accepting the banter (most times ?) when it comes your way. On Rom he had a great second half and it shows if you get the ball into him in the right areas he will score.

Barkley for Geri made all the difference though!

Sometimes I like what he says other times I find him arrogant and vindictive. However this time he's completely right.

Bony was the Premier League's top scorer in the calendar year of 2014. Can he get back to that level.....that's the 20 million pound question. At 27 (& recently well rested) he should be at the peak of his career. I'll be gutted if we don't get him and another prem team does and he catches fire (cue MikeO pun! ?)
