Howard
Hibbert Jagielka Distin Baines
Osman Neville Gibson Pienaar
Cahill
Jelavic
Long balls against a passing side like Swansea -> Moyes logic
Anychance Neville will be RM, dont think I can handle a team with the spine of Jags, Neville, Gibson, and Cahill the passing is gonna make me feel ill today
-
chickenshit?
Howard, Hibbert, Baines, Jagielka, Distin, Neville, Gibson, Cahill, Osman, Pienaar, Jelavic
I was thinking more on the lines of a predictable favourite picking Jagielka shagging inept twirp.. Maybe I should have made the blank longer

Fill in the blank
Heitinga on the bench. Moyes is a ______

Baines has been included in the England set up for a few years the only reason He has not featured so much is that He's had one of Europes best left backs infront of him.
I also don't think that in todays game it has had any hampering on their chances Internationally, Osman is not good enough either He shows very brief moments of magic but it's all few and far between and Hibbert as said is not good enough that is the reason they have not been picked nothing more.
I'm not sure You've been watching the same Richards as I have as this season He's been top draw. As for defensive abilities Hibbert is shite positionally and reads most of the game very poorly He can read a last ditch tackle as good as anyone but other then that piss poor IMO
Carragher and Johnson were the RBs for the last WC, Hibbert should have been on the plane. Warnock ahead of Baines. The likes of Milner, Barry and Carrick are no better than Osman.
I seen Richards get accolades for his performance against Arsenal because he won a freekick(dived) that they scored from and was genrally bombing forward. People failed to mention he was at fault for nearly every chance Arsenal had, and was to blame for a goal or 2.

Jason Scotland plays for Trinidad & Tobago.
Mike England used to play for Wales.
Is it George Democratic Republic of the Congo?
Thats the only player I could think of (unless Scotland Gemmill is still playing) and I knew it was wrong.
-
By being a far better and all rounded player.
Hibbert has grit and heart but his all round game is average He has nothing more in his locker then what I have already mentioned.
There is a reason why Hibbert is not capped at International level and Richards and the mentioned players are and that being He is simply not good enough.
He's not an all rounder though. He lacks in defensive ability, which out ranks attacking ability when your position is RB.
Mills has England caps and there is no way he's better than Hibbert. Hibbert and Osman both lack caps as they play for Everton. Watson, Unsworth, and Barmby were overlooked alot because they played for us as well, just like Baines has been.
-
---- Scotland, seems the only Country that is a regular surname.
-
Richards is twice the player that Hibbert is and so are/where the others apart from Mills who is on a similar level....
Hibbert is a loyal one dimensional work horse nothing more nothing less. I'll give him his due He has been better this season but still as Mark says it's still only average really considering He's been pretty piss poor in the past.
If Coleman tightened up his defensive abilities I'd have him in week in week out.
How?
-
more chance of my wife agreeing to a threesome and flying over to convince Natalie Portman to be the 3rd.
Baines is having a poor season, no doubt, but thats relative to his previous 2 where he was exceptional. Pienaar was overrated but we were better with him.
Swear I've seen you post this before aha
In the first if the season he was our worst player, then after he left we went on our usual 2nd half of the season run and he wasn't missed at all. For me the only player sold we have missed/lowered the overall quality of the team is Arteta.
-
been to bluemoon a few times, wouldnt trust that for feedback. Ive watched him quite a lot this season, he is solid and the best RB we have in England at the moment, comfortably.
He's built solid, but far from solid in defence. He has no positional sense and gets lost up field forgetting/being to lazy to track back.
I think Pete was meaning his debutseason was good and he's lived off that ever since, not that this season was his debut.
Spot on.
-
Hibbert is as solid as a sloppy turd. He can tackle, that's about it, and nine times out of 10 he needs to be able to tackle due to being horribly out of position in the first place.
Pete - Yes he's better than his England competition but that doesn't mean I should be happy about him having played so often for us? He's just not good enough and if we had two pennies to rub together he should have been replaced instantly.
I'd replace him if there was better players about, but there seems to be a lack of good rb's. We missed out big time on Walker and I cant see Coleman ever being that great. Hopefully Browning cut it for us.
-
we are talking about Micah Richards right?! Pretty sure its not his debut season, hes been around for a while and been very good for City.
http://forums.bluemo...php?f=1&t=98622
He's definitely had more shit games than good. He simply can't defend.
In a different thread
'Why do people keep saying he's a right back?
He's fecking clueless as a right back. He's inept going forward, can't cross the ball, can't shoot and can't head a ball for toffee if he actually get's into any attacking position. (Not that the latter two are particularly essential, but to be able to cross the ball and not give it away constantly are.) Utterly useless as a right back.
He is a center back, or a car park attendant.'

to turn Baines back into the best LB going? well worth it
Pienaar weren't a vital role in the partnership, I remember Osman filling in and doing better than him last season, it relies soley on Baines. I'd rather Baines adapt, he's been found out all we do is play it to the left. No Pienaar, and hopefully Moyes will adapt to a new style of play, rather than force the same old that every opposition nows how to deal with.
-
hes not a patch on Richards. I wouldnt go as far to say he shouldve been in the England team but to say hes mediocre is harsh in my opinion.
Richards is one of the worst players in the prem, shits out of 50-50s. Steam rolls forward but lacks in defensive duty's. Bluemoon will have endless threads of his shitness. He had a great debut season give him that.
-
why not take both? Im starting to think we should take him back, if for no other reason that he improves Baines.
Doesn't do enough to justify the wages or a transfer fee. He's on the decline and was never really that good anyway.
-
Nope.
He's mediocre. Always has been, always will be.
He should have been in the England team, he's better than the like of Johnson, Richards, Carragher and Mills. Gary Neville aside, Hibbert has been one of the best right backs of the last 10 years. I agree he's quite mediocre, but he's better than his competition.
-
What's the difference between a hoof and a pass? Jags does it under pressure ( hoof that is) Neville hoofs coz he can't pass full stop!
Lies, Jags passing is far worst. Jags has options and just whacks it(to Moyes delight). Neville plays the ball in his head, but sadly cant do it with his feet.
-
I was annoyed by how much of a warm welcome he received from our players on the pitch though. They were all shit scared to go near him and put a challenge in.
I honestly wanted one of our players to snap him in half (fairly of course). But instead we let him prance about the pitch. If we'd give him a good crunching tackle early he'd have disappeared into his shell like he always did for us.
Fellaini gave him a little welcome putting him to the floor, not too harsh though more to annoy him.
-
I'd rather keep Drenthe who's younger and within are price range and wage structure. Plus Gueye is pushing for more game time so we dont need to waste money on a 30 y.o.
-
The only flaw I can see in Distin's game is his lack of ability at reading the bounce or flight of the ball, other than that he's up there with the best of them. However he does lack that certain aura/presence/class/command that some players seem to have like Kompany, Heitinga, and Vidic. As well as a few players I'd consider worse like Jags, Terry, and Lescott have. In my eyes Distin is easily in the top 10 in the prem. Vidic, Kompany, Heitinga, Vermalean and Agger(if fit) the only noticeably better players.

How does Barmby work out
could have been Waddle at Marseille but I don't know
I'm sure he was top scorer for the shite one year

No chance of that happening, they'll see the team sheet and be made up just like Liverpool were
David Moyes doesnt do pre-match motivational talks, but if he did it would be for the opposition
