I am slightly confused at how people come to the conclusions they do about this guy. I think he is a good all round midfielder he is good in the air both defensivley and attacking I personally think he is tidy on the ball and plays good simple passing. Due to the bookings we say he is a bad tackler but I thnk he is an avergage tackler. You ask where he would fit in the team I think in a 5 man midfield he fits perfectly. Osman(New signing)fellani arteta Piernar Cahill In this formation he is not committed to either position. We have been linked to several good CM but I have always wondered if that is the priority. I know nothing about elm but if he turns into a good moyes signing then surely he is our new right winger.

OK not having seen delph I am not in a position to comment on whether he would be a good signing however for 6 mil I would expect to see something atleast a bit better than osman.

I am sort of now at the point with J-lo saga that if he want to go let him go for 20 mil and then go and buy a replacement for about 10 mil and then concentrate on getting defour/moutinho

Is neville going to get a game if we sign Cana? Future captain if this comes off. I would like ot see pip moved into a coaching role because as much as I think he lack technical ability I think his skills are moe in man management.

I think in comparison to cana/m'bia etc he would be a reasonable signing. Youngish DM can play right back and a decent prem experience we could do alot worse and with both him and barry gone from villa he would definatly weeken their side.

I agree that if he is not a natural right sided player we really need to get someone different I like defour but he would not be a squad player at that price and therefore is he any better than arteta. I have said it before Arteta on his day is our most important player and I think if you accpet he is a CM then osman is a suitbable back up /competition. Osman is soooooo much better in that creative CM position.

two thoughts Is moyes seeing defour as a flexible player who's main position will be right wing. (Cahill played their some of last season) If we managed to get defour this year would Wixtsel be a shoe in for next season.

would defour at 21 not be seen more of a long term replacement for other players IE cahill. But I agree it would be difficult to drop any of those 4. What I really don't want to happen is we buy defour and either he or arteta get forced to play out wide out of position. Also my other concern would be that out of the 4 mentioned we also have neville and osman who are both good in that position. Unless Osman is moved on not that I want that. I think buy defour as long as we are planning on buying a right winger aswell.

I am not sure this is such a bad idea. J-lo is top quality and I would hate to see him leave but if we got richards and a fair bunce like 12 mil (think that is realistic) we could go and buy the best CB from the championship or from lower prem teams (no one springs to mind) and also get the attacking rightback we have all been calling out for. If you factor a deal for jo into the equation if we can get the two of them and some bunce you would have to be happy with that. Baring in mind Jags is probably thr best defender. THe obvious stipulation is J-lo has to be replaced with a reasonably established CB.

Maybe the dicks comment was over the top but I still think saha is a waste of space and no one is going to change that opinion so no point in trying. In terms of me not knowing the inside business working of a football club your right but I don't want to know about internal workings just external recruitment. OK so everyone is saying be patient and it will happen can you tell me when you guys will stop saying be patient and start saying shit we haven't signed anyone. Moyes being on holiday should have little baring on signings as I would hope robert elstone would be on the case with moyes targets. Also if moyes has said he wanted to do his business when the window opens it's been open for a month now. Robert elstone said back in early June that we were working hard and talking to players if that is true does it really take a month to sign someone. Man U signed Owen in 2 days.

I don't give a fuck if people mock me for giving my opinion about how the window is or isn't going. I am pissed off that we have to work with such limited funds when we have a world class manager and we finish in such high positions. Where the fuck is the money going. Don't throw a load of quotes about the club is a business and shit like that. All prem clubs are a business but yet burnely blackburn wolves are making good singings to impro ve their team and we MUST have more money than them.

I think it's going to be one of the window where people on here keep saying there is plenty of time left blah blah and then we will be at the transfer window and panic buying losers like saha. People will give feedback that other clubs haven't started buying but that isn't true and in addition I don't care about other clubs I care about MY club and at the moment I am very nervous.

Surely a vauge comment about transfer targets and how it is all going would be timely around now. I got the impression last season that moyes was severly hacked off with the board about how our summer went and to be honest if this year goes the same will we keep hold of him?
