  1. I hope you have stayed off the fags with all this stress
  2. as usual you thought you'd fail, pessimistic sod, well in Mark you have a good future a head of you lad
  3. made me feel sick Mike life is so very sad when people reach that level of despair
  4. Yes I did if he walked, case reopened as others on here would have Irvine, you know the no mark who took Preston to the play offs, and you think he is a bad manager, ask Moyes what he thinks of him you just may get a shock
  5. So £15 mil spending power was no money that is a surprise, get real
  6. Just shows what you get for finishing one place off the play off's in the first division. Ronnie has operated on a shoe string budget for a club he loves, which he has helped build throughout his career as player and assistant manager. When he took over Rovers were struggling to stay in that division but according to Rodgers, Johnsons bimbo, he did not get promotion so he is out, sad day at Prenton Park and another sign of how well Johnson knows football
  7. Where do you get £2.5 mil from, his new contract is £17.5 mil over four years according to most sources? Can you explain our sudden improvement once that contract was signed, coincidence or what? This thread isn't getting at Moyes for one moment it is praising his players who seemed to have been overlooked. He does deserve applauds for what we have done this year but as taxi says, it wasn't just him
  8. I have been saying that this will happen for over three years, it was a racing certainty once the recession hit. Don't think for one second that the shite will fold as both of the US owners have sufficient assets to cover that debt but what it will do is restrict the Onion in his spending plans and of course all capital expenditure will become very limited, the new ground will be on the back burner for quite sometime. They could sell but I don't think they will they will hang on to what they see as being a prize asset. Louis: do you know if their planning permission for Stanley Park is time limited, if so why don't we prepare our own plans for that site as our hybrid neighbours will soon realise what life is like in the real world financially when the funds run out
  9. well that is one of the most important concepts 20/20 is the game played in a very condensed fashion and can be very exciting as the Dutch lads found out last night winning by a fielding mistake off the last ball. We play Pakistan on Sunday, at least they are not Holland, it will be make or break
  10. It is an English disease but 20/20 has a history of such results, Ireland beating Windes and little Bangladesh screwing the Aussies. On reflection it may just have been the kick up the arse we needed
  11. Researchers from Oxford Uni decided some years ago that the nearest thing to an original English accent was Scouse, just think our ancestors my have understood us today. That decision was based on many things including ethnic mixture dating back to the Vikings. People seem to believe that York was the major point of Viking dominance, it wasn't, good old Isle of Man, Dublin and Wirral and Liverpool all had far larger populations in fact some keep coming back to Liverpool to this day (check the Anfield Rd end)
  12. Walk on the wild side.....................Lou Reed
  13. It was simply disgraceful. our openers managed to get to 100 after just eleven overs we then arsed about playing county cricket for the next nine overs getting just 62 runs for the loss of five wickets. Collingwood did not have a clue on how to set his field and the Dutch ended up winning because of a stupid unnecessary over throw by Broad. I feel ashamed but must add the Dutch deserved it in the end
  14. No mate, you were the best, the champion, the one and only there again I was staggered no one guessed the Ken Wolstenholme one as that incident is part and parcel of our folk lore now so shame on you all
  15. I think you'll find that these questions are unique to TT, designed to bugger up the wikian, they may just catch on
  16. Nice post Carl but I would also point out that we did not start playing this season until Moyes got his new contract which has a left a question mark about him in my mind. As taxi says the players do deserve plaudits as well, look at our performances when Tim Cahill is missing, he is also very capable of lifting team moral. IMO Billy Boy also deserves a big cheer as he has found money to spend and suffered some horrendous insults from fans who should know better, those same fans then moan why the club can't find a buyer..........................is it that surprising?
  17. The championship starts as I type, who will win this money spinning contest. It cannort be denied that this game is exciting, we used to play it regularly after work and its is great fun but purists believe it will bring an end to test cricket..................is that a good thing or could it kill the game at grass roots. IMO if this takes the game forward then it has to be a good thing. I would like to see the bowlers allowed five overs each which would at least make their contribution more worthwhile. I'm looking forward to an England victory although South Africa are the most likely winners.....................I'm off to watch us hopefully kick six kinds of crap out of the Dutch despite the fact that they have one of the fastest bowlers in the world. I also fancy Lancashire to win the national title this year, their young team are awesome
  18. Moore got sacked this afternoon, who is managing Southport?
  19. He was brought up in Ramsgate, went to school there, his uncle is Malcolm Macdowel who starred in Our Friends from the North and of course he starred in Deep Space Nine where he met and married the feisty Nana Vistor, they have since divorced because he started knocking about with Terry Farrel, another Deep Space Nine star and leading US lesbian
  20. Taxi, I have a spare monitor mate, Gateway, its yours if you want it.....................drop me an email
