  1. The following is aimed at taking your minds off the next 48 hours, its a who said what quiz, let me have your answers by PM and I'll tell you who is the best. Good luck lads, here are the quotations, let me have your answers, bonus points if you can identify who the words concerned, they all concern EFC............enjoy 1 "What we've got is a resilience and a team spirit and you can't buy that" 2 "He uttered the six worst words in the English language 'I want to play for Liverpool" 3 "Never mix perms and drinking, it's a recipe for disaster" 4 "If Mickey Mouse had taken charge, it would have given the place a lift" 5 "I never realised the club was big" 6 "If you don't believe you can win, there is no point in getting out of bed at the end of the day" 7 "And he's lost his jacket, he's lost his jacket" 8 "I've been a Bluenose all my life and I always will be. I'm a very proud and privileged man to be able to say that" 9 "You've got to be strong in victory and equally strong in defeat" 10 "Ladies and gentlemen, today we are joined by a man who ranks amongst the greatest there is: Shakespeare, Rembrandt and Bach this man is --------------------"
  2. Mark, many said the same about Irvine, tbh I don't think Moyes would want a lacky around him, he already trusts Round to do post match summaries with the press, same as Irvine did
  3. Jamie, yet again you've done a brilliant job lad, I doubt if anyone could have posed better questions to each club, keep them coming mate
  4. I hate saying this honest but NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO if you want a clue try the connection never appeared in either show Shit I'm loving this
  5. Oh good we've got more bricks to build our new place (stirs nest and goes )
  6. Spot on taxi, they've had their time inthe sun, next season they'll be back in the cupboard
  7. You can fiddle with your sticks as long as you like Beardo the rules read that the only acceptable answer is the one I have, just to confirm, IT DOESN'T SAY F--KING DONALD PLEASANCE. have a nice day
  8. as soon as Barca got the measure of United it was all over, there was only one team in it................................ I think the likes of Carrick, Scholes and Nevile will be moved out and a rebuild started. I can also see them trying to move Berbatov on as he is lost in that line up How long will it be before their fans start questioning SAF, he made mistakes tonight, big time
  9. Round does a decent job, he is serving his managerial apprenticeship under Moyes but he will be gone when the right offer comes in....................................based on what he has done to date that might not be far away. It seems that one or two managers may move on shortly, a wise owner must consider what is available as a replacement, I could see him replacing Alan Irvine at Preston he is one of the guys tipped to move up
  10. I think you are spot on JD, he will play a part in the rebuild that will start after tonights defeat
  11. I can now tell you that its the modern version I refer to, so sod off and goodbye I love it when a plan comes together
  12. Here you go mate check this out, send Oz an e-mail and you could link up http://www.toffeetalk.com/forums/index.php...19&hl=final
  13. Can anyone feel it yet, the old groin tweaking, the butterflies in the gut, the day dreaming visions of us running round with the cup, its in the air, its in the water, its our destiny.................................believe COYB
  14. For the simple fact that a win for Utd will put the shits further up the reds I'll be a Manc the evening
  15. Look down in this section mate, there is another blue stuck in Rome at the weekend and someone tipped him off about a EFC bar in the city.............................if thats no good it should be on the box somewhere mate
  16. I don't think the club has been that bad with them but we fans often expect too much. Some have delivered whilst some get ideas above their station, but that is a fact at most clubs..........................this would make a good close season thread
  17. Spot on Mark, silly money for at best an average player
  18. Still Talking Blue...................................mate got me a copy at the weekend and I can't put it down
  19. Well in boss, as usual his first comment concerning the award was to thank his players...................part the reason he wins these things methinks
  20. If it was Reids money then OK but it won't be, its the faceless ones who have the say behind him Steve.....................when the money is in place must mean that they are struggling to get the readies together hence thank God it is only speculation
  21. Sorry mate but Whelan is not deluded or a fool. Just think what he has done in the game, took Wigan from the Cheshire league to the Premiership, his club continues to make annual profits (selling players at huge profits having acquired them for peanuts) and may get upto £5 mil for a manager who was cast out by Brum.........................while doing that he built his business empire, sold it and then bought half back at a big profit to himself.....................................he is possibly the most astute guy in football having played top flight soccer himself. I have always hoped he would pack Wigan in and join our board (his is also a big mate of Bill K)
  22. 22...Twas Liverpool, they scored with a shot from Venus
  23. It's not the maghogany man, he's full of shit and wood worm
